Charlie Elliot PFA (Marben Farms). I-20 east to Hwy 11-go south towards Monticello. Its a few miles down on your left, a boat helps on the bigger lakes but there are many smaller ponds w/ decent bank access.

Santee Cooper (Lakes Marion & Moultrie), acess is limited from the drought however weve been getting some rain and lake levels are rising. If you can get on the water the fishing has been good. Try the east branch of the Cooper as well. It is a tidal river which can take some getting used to, but I've had some really good mornings on a falling tide fishing the outside of the old rice fields. Good Luck.

I have no problem w/ either of those setups, as long as they have big plastic red and white bobbers above a gob of red wigglers.

Flipping a 5" tube on cypress knees on the Altamaha River, I caught a 17# bowfin (mudfish,grindle). He came of in the boat and WRECKED everything!!

Craigaria- Nice fish, I used to live in Madison have you ever fished @ Marben Farms (I think it is open to public now) We caught some tremendous bass there in the mid-eighties. Anyway Ive done lots of fishing in your area & its good to see middle Georgia represented here. Good Luck

Lunker Lure, old school baby. More you use them, they develop a squeak that drives em ape-%#@*. Ive hung new ones out truck window on the way to the lake. Inexpensive.
