In RI permits are free unless its in a city park and then the city sets the fee for a park use permit. Conn and Mass both have EPO fees witch in some cases you pay even if thy don't show I don't remmber the number of boats

I was driving through today and saw you fishing the park ave side of the lake. the 7 -8 fott depths you found were the depest in the pond but I fished a bit from shore on the otherside of the pond and got a couple there nothing to brag about .
