My local dealer recently told me that G Loomis has dropped the 822S shaky head spinning rod from their GLX line. I couldn't believe that so I checked the G Loomis website and I could not find it either. They still show the 823S, but that is all. Does anyone know what has happened with the rod? If this is true then they must not have had good sales or they had a problem with that model. I am looking to purchase one of these but I don't want to buy into a problem.

Hello I would like to purchase a new shakyhead rod for this coming season. I am currently thinking either the G Loomis shakyhead spinning rod GLX series or the St. Croix Legend X rod. I will not spend $400 on a rod without first putting it in my hands to evaluate the feel. Problem is that I cannot find anyone who stocks these rods near Virginia. Does anyone know of a way for me to look at these rods?
