Suggestion To Get Back Into Using Old Baits
I still use a lot of baits I bought new in the 60's and 70's. The old Storm baits, Rapalas, Mudbugs, wood Bombers, The Rebel deep Humpy and Wee R, Hellbender and the very early Bagley baits. I still hunt for some of them on E Bay and flea markets.

Colors Besides Green Pumpkin Or Watermelon
In stained water Junebug is the best for me and I also like Berkley's Camo and Roadkill Camo which seems to be getting hard to find. If the water is a little darker black and black and blue are my best. In clear water stay with the greens.

Citica G Vs Curado G
I bought one Citica and I just don't think it compares to my Curados or Revos. I hardly use it.

Red Baits In Spring?
I think it is productive in waters where the craws come out of the mud looking red. And that is usually in the southern states or places with red dirt. I have not heard that red is such a great color in the spring in northern states. Be interested to see if I am wrong about that.

New Products!
I bought some Siebert jigs a few years ago and they are without a doubt the most well made jig I have ever used. And they catch bass. Any you buy form him will meet that same standard I highly recommend them.

What Line For Jerkbaits?
I second Yo Zuri I use it for just about everything and it is flat out the best all around line I have ever used. I have never used any of the other hybrid lines but they might be just as good.

How Long Do Jigs Last You
I use Siebert jigs and if I don't lose them in rocks they last for a very long time. I have never had a skirt fall of one. Probably the best hand made bait I have ever used.

Hook Sharpening - Whats The Point?
If my hooks are dull I replace them. Sharpening can make them weak and I would rather spend a buck or two than loose a trophy fish.

What's Up With Chartreuse Lures?
They work for some reason. I think it might be visibility. I understand that chartreuse turns a bright white under water.

Oxygen Levels In Ponds Vs Lakes
Fish the weeds, the heavier and thicker the more likely they are to hold bass. Vegetation produces oxygen and you always find bass there.

Does Charlie Moore Know How To Fish?
I think he is a con man who would be more at home in a pool hall shooting for a buck a game than in a boat tryong to catch fish. He has conned people into watching his show so I guess he is good an what he does.

Ac Shiners
Great old bait and well made. I have used these as a jerk bait and a top water and they work very well both ways. They have a lot of action and are very buoyant when you jerk them under they will pop right back to the surface and have a tendency to back up a little.

Have You Ever Iaconelli'd It?
I just fish I don't get emotional about it. If I have a good day or catch a lunker I know have put it all together or I just got lucky. When I lose one then the fish won that round no big deal you can't possibly win them all. I just love being out there and nothing is going take that away from me.

Learning To Fish Plastics From A Boat And In Deeper Water ?
You have to be in contact with the bottom, you need to be able to feel your bait and it will take weights to do that. Don't over do it, but use enough so you can feel the bottom and without slack in your line. Boat control is not all that difficult it will come rather quickly.

Any Lure With An Orange Bottom??
I don't know what it is, maybe it is just a color that bass can see easily but it works and has worked for years. Smallmouth seem to really love it.

Forgotten/overlooked Baits
I have caught more river smallmouths up to three pounds on a Mepps spinner than any other lure, and in the small streams it is almost magic.

Cranks Running Horribly Out Of The Package
I have to agree with Marty and the Farmer on this one. I have been fishing crank baits for over 50 years and I just never had a big problem with baits that did not run true. I have had some of course, but I have been able to tune them to run true. Actually the last bait I had to tune was a LC 1.5, it kept rolling over to the left but is is fine now. And I have never accepted the theory that you have to buy a dozen baits to get one that is a real bass catcher I think a lot of it is just nonsense. As far as cheap versus expensive baits I have plenty of each and do not prefer one over the other.

Finding Bass In A Creek
Try the riffles either just above them or just below them that is where you will usually find active bass.

Terry Clark Custon Painted Lures????
I contacted Terry and he told me to post his e mail so his friends and old customers can contact him, he will be very happy to talk with you he is always ready to talk fishing or the art of creating and painting crankbaits. He has had some very serious health issues but he is coming along and is in good spirits as always. Maybe he can even do a small job or two now and I am sure he will be glad to help anyone who is into painting or making crankbaits. When you e mail him be sure to put fishing as the subject. terry12clark@gmail.com
