I am an NRA Endowment Life Member. An annual member since the 1980s, I stepped up to Life membership four years ago. Speaking from direct experience, I would recommend that anyone seeking membership in NRA should remain on an annual membership. As an annual member, the NRA has to uphold their end of the bargain to get you to renew. As a Life Member, they just forget about you _except_ for incessant requests for you to advance to the next tier of Life Membership and to send money to their Institute for Legislative Action. Other than fundraising the only thing they do really well is their excellent magazine "American Rifleman", which I received for decades until I became a Life Member -- then it stopped and I haven't been able to find anyone at HQ that has the influence to make my subscription active again. It's been four years! Do yourself a favor, stay at the annual membership level.
