  1. I've been using a pflueger for the past 2 seasons with zero issues. Still as smooth as the day I bought it.
  2. Try a 6" sluggo on a 5/0 hook weightless .
  3. Personally , cant find one off the shelf that I really like. So i made my own mold for a different head design (1/4 oz), incorporated 4 different shades of chartreuse , a size one trailer hook , "weathered" the blades for a more natural look, and use a cable to make it virtually impossible to get snagged. Gotta give a shout out to Bubba from rat trap bait co for the colors that nobody else carries. In NE Pennsylvania , I can take this anywhere and land better than average largemouth and smallmouth.
  4. Before you even start, find out the water temps.
  5. The simplest way of describing it is to get the blade(s) of your spinnerbait to create a v shaped wake as u retrieve it. It takes practice to find the right retrieve speed, but it can be lethal. I've found it works best when a bass won't commit to a buzz bait, but the spinnerbait is deeper yet creating a little commotion on the surface to draw a strike.
  6. I'm honestly shocked that anybody replied! It's an older technique that very few anglers know outside of pros.
  7. Does anybody know and/or still v-wake a spinnerbait ?
  8. When using a spinnerbait, I always have a trailer hook and trailing worm that I shoerten with a ribbon tail. The tailing hook helps get the short strikes while the ribbon tail helps hide/distract from the trailer in my opinion . I also use a spinnerbait with a cable for the blades so it flexes and always gets that good hook set.
  9. Why haven't you kept using them if they caught fish?
  10. Don't they drain from the berwick nuclear plant into the susky? Lol.
  11. Just curious as to who may know, how old a lmb must be to get to and over 5lbs?
  12. Anybody still using these? Great for slow presentation in rocky areas.
  13. I've found the 6" perch sluggo to be absolutely killer. But when I ask local tackle shops they tell me nobody uses them anymore. I've gone as far as adding doll eyes and dyes with great success catching quality large and smallmouth.
  14. Thank you so much. I'm looking at using more crayfish presentations this year and looking for advice and tips. I know northern crayfish are different that southern crayfish , but that's the extent of my knowledge so far.
  15. I was just wondering how many colors crayfish in pennsylvania come in. I was also wondering what colors any of you guys use while fishing a crayfish presentation? Thanks in advance.
