  1. If finnese includes a weightless senko, a jig and trailer, or t-rigging a worm/lizard etc., then I would say finnese.
  2. Been a long while since I broke off. The last time I broke off was when I was tossing a heavy muskie bait with braid and got a nasty backlash while trying to get too much distance. When the line stopped coming out the lure kept going. Oops!! Of course it was a spinner, so to the bottom of the lake it went. I thought I broke off last year when I was tossing a rattle trap over grass. I got a hold of something that I couldn't move. I thought I had a snag, so I got on the trolling motor padal to go after it. The next thing I know my line is heading to deep water, so I started to try and turn the fish. All of a sudden the line went slack and I dropped to the deck in anguish. When I started to reel in the line I felt the trap was still on the end. I must not have stuck that fish good enough. It might have been a toothy critter, cause you gotta stick them hard. That fish bugged me the rest of the day.
  3. Those Falcon boxes are the best IMO. I also have the entire set.
  4. It's Moms job to worry.....yeah, it could affect your social life....yeah, and all the other stuff the other guys told you, but I goota agree with Paangler: NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! What the hey, you can talk to the fish or yourself...I do, and Mom will worry no matter what you do.
  5. The only time I use live bait is for walleye. Using live bait is sort of like..... me tossing a cheeseburger in front of three starving fishermen. That thing will get eaten. Just seems too easy to me.
  6. They are great!! I bought about a hundred bucks worth. I am using my old boxes to organize my garage hardware. That's how I justified the new ones to my honey.
  7. No snaps here either, for all the good reasons mentioned above.
  8. I also tip a jig with the chartruse sparkle ones from time to time, and I think they help. Normaly when vertical jigging in the junk. Mark
  9. Wow!! nice crappie. The biggest I caught was 15 inches last year on a western Pa. lake with a small glass rap. I catch quite a few on small cranks. BOORING?? Was that you RW? I guess it could be if you bait fish for them. I always use artfitial baits with jigs, or beetle spins, or cranks. When you get into them it's a blast. My beer always gets warm. Mark
  10. I have sealed ones, but I unplug anyway. I am back there getting everything else ready, so it is no trouble to unplug. It's part of my OCD problem.
  11. I also use rod socks. They sure make getting rods out easy: no tangles.
  12. I was alluding to that fish's aggressive nature. I have a buddy that always makes that statement about the beer tab and I think it's kind of funny and nearly true.
  13. Beetle spins will work. You could toss a beer tab with hooks on it and catch a smallie. Those fish will eat almost anything. Mark
  14. I also agree with the warrior: current, and they are just plain mean.
