  1. Thanks10 didn't work for me the moment I keyed in my email. I've got to open a new browser to get it working again, and key in a new email. Perhaps some of the codes are meant for people who haven't bought on their site before. Welcomelure also needs a minimum of $50 in your cart before you're able to apply it. Good luck! I got it to work just yesterday.
  2. Hey guys, thanks for all the suggestions and comments! I managed to get my hands on a Dobyns XP 685CB at a really great price. Based off your experiences, will this be too short for bank fishing? I'm still within the free-return period, and will appreciate any thoughts!
  3. Thanks for all the suggestions! I'll keep an eye out for any good deals on the dobyns or Zodias mh! I like the idea of having a longer rod, but do you find it difficult to walk the dog from bank with a 76?
  4. I recently got bitten by the bait monkey and got a curado 200hgk. I'm planning to pair it with a primarily topwater (1oz spook) rod. I'm looking at the shimano zodias - anybody have any recommendations if I should go for the 72MH or 72H? I'll mainly be working from the banks and would appreciate the extra length of the 72 over the 610. I'll also appreciate any other suggestions for rods!
  5. I'm new to bass fishing and was hoping to get some tip and recommendations. I primarily fish around the banks of Cachuma lake and had a tiny amount of luck with crankbaits (only 2 LMB and 1 crappie) in late spring. Any suggestions on what will work best at Cachuma? Especially for the different seasons. Are there any spots along the banks that you'd recommended? Thanks!
  6. Thanks, Tom! I must have forgotten to reply after all the hikes. We did swing by Bass Lake for abit but did not manage to catch any. It was a pretty busy weekend I supposed. We were fishing from the banks and it was a very unique/uneasy experience fishing with kids swimming nearby but we ended the day without anybody going to the hospital.
  7. Hi all, I'll be heading up to Yosemite for a couple of days and have an evening to burn after driving up. We are hoping to fish at Bass Lake for a couple of hours, any suggestions on good spots where we can fish from shore?
  8. Fenwick Aetos $130 ($70 off) on Scheels.
  9. Had a great deal on Scheels with the Fenwick Aetos and got that. Thanks for all the suggestions!
  10. I'm mainly concerned about the balance of the Mojo as someone mentioned it on a forum that it didn't balance well with his 2500. I'll swing by TW to take a look over the weekend, thanks for all the suggestions!
  11. Hi! I'm new to the forum and relatively to fishing as well. I'm looking for a new rod to pair with a stradic ci4+ 2500 and would appreciate any advice or suggestions. I typically fish at lakes from shore and use mostly floating lures (rapala floaters) and crankbaits. I'm planning on trying out senkos and chatterbaits in the near future. My main requisite is that it must be a 2 piece rod. I'm looking for a medium rod that is below $200 (ideally around $150). From what I've read, the Avid seems to be really popular and the Zodias as well. I can't seem to find a 2pc medium rod for the Zodias even if I were to import it from Japan. Thanks in advance!
