I fished in my first club tournament this past weekend. All in all it was a decent day except for the rain. I caught the first fish of the day that weighed about 4lbs or better. It was twenty min. into the day. I was stoked! I ended up catching two more solid chunks on the day but could not get anymore to hit. I had about 10.5 lbs with three fish. My partner won the tourny with almost 21 pounds. We missed winning the boat pot by two ounces. I could not belive it needed that one more fish. It was a blast. Can not wait till the next one.

it is high enough to get ur boat in. I went two weeks ago and it was fine. I could drive around all right at the ramp with no problem. Got a tourny there the 29th of this month come join us.

We are fishing the watersheed lakes in lexington. Beech, pine, dogwood, etc.. I expect the water temp to be around 45 or so beings we had them couple of warm days. Maybe i will luck up and draw a good boater that will put me on fish. Rather be lucky than good any day. lol

I have just joined a bass club and the first tournament is this coming weekend. I have fished in only one tourny before and it was in my own boat on a local lake i have alot of experiance on. This is going to be alot different. I have never been to this place and am going to be a coangler. The weather here was warm this weekend but it is droping as we speak. Expected temp for Sat. is low of 23 and high of 36. Partly cloudy. If ya'll got any advice it would be greatly appreciated. I live in west tn.

Thanks for the info guys. I am going to join tne UT martin club when i transfer to martin. I have already been talking to one of the members about that. I am going to give a local club a call in just a second hopefully it works out. I may fish the BFL tourney when it comes to Paris Landing i thing in June. I will just have to see how it goes. you think that is the best way to go right off the get go? To go to something that big.

What is the best way for a person to start tourny fishing. What do i need to do to get started. I have fished one tourney on a local lake and done ok. I try to fish alot and have developed a few methods i can catch fish on. Just need to know what is the best way to get started. Do not want to be a boater. Thanx

I went to Gibson county lake yesterday morning. My partner caught one i could not get it together for nothing. Just one of those days. I probly should have been throwing a crank bait but didn't. I have a question. How do you know when their are tournys and where do i need to be watching for them.

I caught the first fish of 08 today in a little pond close to home. They were both small. Going to Gibson Saturday morning. I will be there when the gates open!

I was just wandering if anyone has herd or seen anything about the water level at Gibson County Lake in west tn. Maybe with all this rain it will come back up to a resonable amount.

I am 19 years old and new to this forum. i would like to join a club and fish some tornys. Been fishing ever since i was a very little boy. Really dedicated to winning and want to do good in tornys.
