Anglers when fishing at the hot water outlet,or at the outlet gate at the dam, DO NOT GO OVER THE CABLES. FISHING IN A RESTRICTED AREA COULD GET YOU ARRESTED.
  2. Thanks, Iwill give them a try.
  3. Does anyone in the mid-west use the very large swim baits you see on TV. I know they are big out west, but does anyone have any experience with them around the central part of the country (Kansas, Missouri)
  4. Senko and Horny Toad, this years pb on a Senko after reading a thread on here, sorry dont know who posted it. Thanks
  5. Nothing like a day on the lake, however when you have kids a pond is great, it keeps them interested. I live in the country and I am surounded by ponds, its nice to be able to run down to the pond real quick when time is short. But I would agree a lake or resivor is the way to go. I have a friend that brags about all his fish he catches in the ponds, I always tell him "how can you not, you already found the fish, their right there!"
  6. I wasnt their but these are the resivors in that area. Big Hill, Toront, Fall River, Elk City. Hope this helps.
  7. I enjoy the club and the books they send. Compared to buying a book at the store they are very cheep. However, if you call or send them a letter they will stop sending them. I dont look at it as a scam, the books are well written and the videos are well done. I like to read and have a great outdoors library and these books are worth the price for me. I believe they are a reputable club, I like them much better than the new B.A.S.S., but I would agree that this forum is the best thing to come a long in a while.
  8. I think ESPN has ruined B.A.S.S. it use to be great and so was the magazine, but know it stinks. Field & Stream is a good mag., but alot of times they seem to cater to the rich outdoorsman. I think In-Fisherman and Bassn' are my favorites fishing mags and I also like Fur Fish and Game its kind of the Redkneck outdoorsmans magazine.
  9. I never heard of a senko before I joined this forum, but thats all I read about here. So I stopped by BPS on the way home the other day and bought a pack, took them out last night and cought my best bass of the year, so did my 6 year old son. Thanks for the great info ;D This was about 3 1/2lbs. About 3lbs.
  10. 1 baitcasting combo with a spinnerbait, packet of black worms and a couple bullet weights and worm hooks. Spinnerbait is my search bait, if the bite is slow I tie on the worm. I fish fast and furiouse from the bank, if I'm not in my boat, I dont have much time or i'm at a pond.
  11. Thanks all, Yes, the plaza still does the Christmas lights every year, they light them on Thanksgiving. My Beagles are 13 inch.
  12. I am new to this forum, Spini boys is myself and my 2 sons 6 and 16 yrs old. We are avid Outdoorsmen, we love fishing, trapping, and hunting. Fishing is our favorite, followed by running our Beagles for rabbits. I am a Captain on a Fire dept. in the suburbs of KC, live in Lane, KS (60 miles south of KC) when I am not on duty, I am in the woods or on the water. This looks like a great forum, I have been lurking for a while and made my first post this morning. Thanks for the welcome Roadwarrior.
  13. My best fishing pardner is my 6 year old son. He went back to school last week and I have been wondering around aimlessly for a week. I told my wife I would home school him out on the lake or in the woods this fall (Hunting). Great poem and picture!
