Just to let you guys know there will be a Hot Boat Meet on the weekend of the 15 in APR !!!!!!!!! On Celeto Creek State Park I am thinking there will be about 30+ hot boats out there...What is a hot boat you ask? A hot boat is basicly a hot rod...at leat for me it is. It is a boat that does not have to be fast or have a hot paint job but it could be a project boat. Most hot boats are jets, V-drives and OB but i think party barges are hot boats too. Bass boats are hot boats tooo!!!! I have asked for some pictures off some of the work or ideas you came up for your boat Be cool and we will try not to disturbe any fishing going on. Ghost Rider out

.02 $ worth You know being a hot roder and hot boater I have my own ideas also but like everyone else it is totally up to you . I am a Punch fan for speakers esp subs.. my last hot boat i had 2 10" driven by a 400 Rockford Fosgate amp and a 200 pushing 200watt 6X9 my subs had a remote adjustment knob and the use of a good deck you can control any range of music. Its not how loud you can get it ...its how clear it is. No one wants to hear your trunk or the rest of your car make noise as you jam... So go with quality and my 2 cents is drop 2 10" and 1 12" the 12 will cover the longer base notes. Oh watch for peak watts there is no such thing, it is just Distortion of the wave form. Which means crap through your speakers. , Have a good deck some on earlier pointed out a deck and i agree with him on that

I thought those things had electric chokes now days? Never run you boats or ATV to a dealer with out washing and changing out the gas...it gives them the edge on service. 15 deg should not matter at a car wash was this ATV 2 stroke or 4 stroke? There are big lies about gas........There are only so many pipeline that flow gasoline in the United States. Most venders (GAS STATIONS) buy the cheapest gas they can get at the different octine levels. Most of them will put the boost in at the racks, the only one who ships high grade gas is Valero Pipeline Co...to get there mid grade they mix at the tank farm on the receiving end. In other words Shell buys Exxon etc..........Rac Track buys who knows?....... Never run cheap gas from a gas station 90+ oct. only. Dont get gas at a mom and pop store either. Do fill up if the station is getting topped off. Watch the tail pipe for water (more than normal) So be carful where you get your gas at that might be a problem... The spark plug issue you need to be able to check that your self such as your gap setting on it. Most dealers dont set the gap properly. You dont want to run to hot of a plug or run one to cold.. Both can blow an engine. I would buy a repair TM for your ATV and read up and then ask questions on the boards if you dont understand any thing. Make sure you run a good after marker fuel filter that is a see through. You can get one at any auto parts store. Also clean your gas can out you may have dirty fuel in it also. It does not matter if you running 5 hp or 700 hp good fuel and proper maintenance to your engine is needed. Dam it boy that fast for any type of boat.....I know a few guys that run triple digets but there pushing over 700 hp in a big block. A few guys in my jet boat group run nitro but thats really hard on a engine. I think i am pushing 400 hp right now but there is a weight to power ...big block are heavy..I was thinking of dropping in a Merlin BB and heads.. 830 carb but i kinda leaning to fuel injection....

Now that was funny.... I am debating on what type of engine I will build next year Do I go for speed or engine life or in the middle? Who has the fasted Bass boat? now this has to be GPS I know you got to be the first to hit the hot spot so post up

Right on! on the jet skiers... I had one jumping my wake way to close to the boat and i was not running top speed just crusing... I threw the roost up on him and he quit real quick but i am olny kicking 400 and i do not have a split bowl yet with a droop snoop so my roost is not that high or long but it a wall of water... I think it is a problem that starts with new boat sales... Most states ESP Texas any one can get behind a wheel or on a jet ski with no stick time (Driving Experience) The water cops all ways check my safety gear ever time i am out on the water.. My famly and any one who rides in my boat will have a vest on. Safety First... Jet boat will stay out of the hydrilla becasue we will have to spend a good 20 mins pulling it out of the pump... we also dont like shallow water due to sand getting in to the block and into the cooling system of the headers. Sand will also get into the jet pump and wear down the seals. i know some OB techs so if ya have any questions on Engines give a buzz on this thread.

Most of the Jet Boaters i know are really nice guys... they work 8-5 just like everyone else.... Jet ski do get on every ones bad side, even mine....They all think they run 80 mph, hell i dont even run 80. GPS on a hot day 59mph with the kids and my girl in the boat,on a cool day with the temp in the 50s 64mph.... Jet boats are the hot rods of the lake ....every guy likes hot rods so you got to see them as that... Only the new war-hawks, Elemators have the same paint jobs and set up but they will run you a few bucks. As you see i am into boating and hot boats, BBQ, and ice cold cheap beer (gas is high) ;D I would like too see some pics of some of the hot boats on this site like different mods ya have done. post them up I know some of ya can shoot a roost with a jack plate installed. A roost will help keep jet skiers away if it is strong enough to blast them. Oh roost is slang for rooster tails. But i dont think you can throw them when you want to, am i right? check out the video i posted up its clean

No doing some reading checking out the site thats all... thought i would would share my story and i am sure you have some too.

I am a Rooster kicking jet boat driver ..... I had a run in with a bass angler on Coleto Creek in Texas last Oct...... I do not buzz other boaters due to respect for the law and safety..... We have get-to-gethers like ya do but we get different rules...kinda funny if you ask me.. So i got buzzed pulling my anchor up by a bass fisherman, he just about sunk my boat... real uncool if you ask me.... He went off in to the weeds and stumps and did his thing. Our members ran on the other side of the lake having fun, so this bass fisherman puts his boat right smake dam in the middle of our lanes of running. Was he fishing or trying to start a fight? The State park put rules on us different from the regular park rules like quite time 10pm to 6am. Our time to run was 10am to 6pm which is ok for me. That same bass fisherman came back on Sat. 4am put the lower unit in just enough to pump water and ran it on the trailer.. OB are just as loud as a BBC out of the water.... I was clear across the park and he woke me up out of a good slumber....I should have walked over and helped him launch his boat... Is it just me or is there a war on between other boaters (jet Boats) and bass fishermen? Some will take this thread wrong some wont and some will be up set with what i got to say next I think we can all get a long and I must admit ya have some hot looking fast boats out there.
