It wont take much weight to hold a canoe. i dont know the stlye the other member talked about but i have the round mushroom one and i get some of that Texas mud when i pull it up thats all. The lenght of the rope will matter though. there is a formula for the amout of rope vs weight of anchor vs and boat... dont know it though but if the wind is high enough to push a canoe with an anchor it prob a good time to get off the water.

post up some pictures of your new boat Wear a vest .. you will not have time to put it on before wreck beside you may not be awake to put one on or near the boat. i see your in Tx so Tx parks and wild life offer a coast guard class for new boaters. Dont get into a hurry take your time and get it right the first time. I looked at the web site but it does not say what kind of jet pump they are running. I call the number and got a recording. There are builder in the lower 48 who build that type of boat its nothing new. You can build one your self. You can find use jet pumps on ebay but get a burkely with a split bowl. Also the type on impleller will be an issue. dont get Alum go with SS and A cut for a power you can go with any style engine. I have seen 4 bangers pushing jets.

go with a jet drive ... i have seen it done 2 diff ways one with an OB jet drive unit dont know how low it would hang in the water or this is kind of cool find you a use jet ski and pull the engine and jet drive and install in boat.i have seen videos of it on googles.

Really..... yea did not read the post IF YOU DONT HAVE A PUMP. all the top hole is to vent while you pump from the bottom and to show it full after the oil drains out. But being the pro you are i am sure you knew that too. So in other words there is more way to skin a cat. Think before you post back some rude commit because if you dont you just my get schooled on how to turn some wrenches.

ok short boats will do that until the trim is just right. You got to play with the trim that all. once your on your pad you will know it. the steering tork will not be fighting you and the boat will not porpois. the boat is not under powered so maybe you can try a whale tail but it will cut in to the turning of the boat. Take some pictures of your hull and engine trimed down, and one of the lower unit that would help a bunch. There may be a set up problem. Oh pictures at different angles. Also get an experienced boat driver to go out with you it could just be learning some boat driving skills. Hell call me up i will go out with and will have you dancing across the water with her.

Good stories.... you can fish from the boat ramp docks as longs as you are out of the way...that includes ice chest , truck , folding chair etc. My woman drive my jet on and off the trailer and i am in the process of teaching her to back up a trailer but not the boat trailer just yet. Oh we power load and unload do to the fact my trailer doesnot have a wench to pull the boat up

Thats some funny stuff i have seen fights over ski rope getting run over... you the as the summer gets hotter so does peoples temps..... here is a topic for this also. giving aid to a boater in distress ...... i have seen and my self been stuck in the water with out power for more than one reason and just watch boats fly by with even a wave. I got towed in by a party barge a few months back out of all the boats in the area they were the only ones who stopped and gave aid. Which just suxs. I carry spare parts, filters , tools etc in my truck for my self but i have given them away just to help get a fellow boater going again. Oh check this out ... on my last boat i ran out of gas and had to switch tanks. As i was switching tanks i drifted into racing lanes for sail boats. There was a boat out there for the race at the turn and that due cussed me out while i was getting her going again. Once under power i made it to him and told him the local law of Texas and if he wanted to keep it up in front of my kids i would be happy to step over into his boat and talk about it. He did not want to ;D

Well I posted something like this on my first time on this forum....except I was not in a bass boat; I was in my jet boat pulling my anchor into the boat. My boat sits real low to the water, to the point a wake can sink me. This bass boat comes hauling down the bank of the lake and buzzes me. I dropped the line and had to cut hard left to break the wake. It was my first meet and did not want to get into a fight due to the fact jet boat all ready have a bad rep like biker clubs have. I got video of us running and you can clearly see that same bass boat and a few others in the lanes we were running. The lake we were on was big enough for every one. I do not run in the stump fields or in rough water our little area is small. I try not to get in no ones way or bug the fishermen out there, but some times I got to pass them....I do drop out of warp speed and wave and move on out. The videos are not in order it just the way they were built but you can see for you self. Oh some of those boats were running triple digits. Have fun watch them if you see me out there pull up to the beach and have a cold beer and lets talk boats, engines, fishing and ETC. I would also like to add you should not anchor in the boating lanes it's just rude.

Well do not talk about bass fishing for more than 5 min. Find a something common to talk about. As far as looks most ladies dont care. Money is a big deal though, its one of those sub mating issues. Like any animal it wants to know can you take care of them and a family. So dress to kill. oh take a bath and put some smell good on but not to much. If that does not work buy jet boat and hang out on the lake. For a date i would rec a date on the lake .... no swiming just dinner and show her a sun set . Chicks dig that romantic stuff. if she give you a phone number program it right then and call her cell to make sure you dont get the run around. Well that my .02 cents for now and dont show off that will kill it in a heart beat .

use 80-90W gear oil oh if you dont have a pump ...drain and fill from the top it will take some time that all for all the air to get out .
