  1. Lets fish together some time! If you ever are anywhere near... haha
  2. I personally fish the neko rig a load, but I fish it on a L baitcaster.
  3. Jackall Poison Adrena 6'6 ML
  4. ' Latest purchases from an online website (these are amazing swimbaits, but they're kind of expensive) OSP Dolive Shad 3.5 inch, my favorite swimbait It is renowned for being a bass killer back in Hong Kong and the demand for them is massive. They are about 10 USD a pack on most websites
  5. I've used hooks down to size 4 for bass, weedless dropshots need lightwire widegaps. 2/0 widegaps I use on smaller baits that are around 4 inches. I use it for 3 inch craws too. For 3 inch senkos I use size 1.
  6. Yeah I never understood why people rig the flat side down on drop shot plastics, it eliminates the wobble.
  7. Megabass is pretty good, but it is expensive if you're buying it outside of Asia. In my opinion, OSP Asura and Varuna are even better than the Megabass jerkbaits though, however they may be very hard to find. Yozuri has plenty of cheap jerkbaits.
  8. 8-9 hours, don't care if it is in the heat of the summer or a rainstorm or anything. I need to fish, screw everything else.
  9. Anyone from Toronto able to give me any suggestions? I want to fish this Sunday for bass.
  10. Some of my best days of fishing were flood warning days. Super muddy water with almost no visibility...
  11. I by no means wish to promote my channel, I'm putting this video there because I want to show everybody this cool rig. This is a weedless neko rig and the hook that I use is a Hayabusa FINA weedless neko hook, I am not sponsored, not affiliated with anything, I'm simply a kid that wants to share something with everyone that I learned back at home. The link to an online shop that sells the hook is in the video description. This rig is extremely effective around and in cover. In the video I cover how to rig this bait. The way you fish it is like any other neko rigged bait. I also mention a disadvantage of this rigging style and a way to work around it at the end. I hope this helps or interests anyone.
  12. Defo! I'm going to fish one last time before the end of this season on Sunday lol. I have things to share but I also have many questions to ask. This is a new chapter for me, it is my first time bass fishing in North America.
  13. The timing is horrible right now, I've got my exams and this is my last window of opportunity. Might have to get out on the water on Sunday, I'll try to squeeze it in. Haha! Let's meet somewhere halfway next season!
  14. I haven't brought some of them over yet. I have a Shimano Expride 64L for baitfinesse fishing over here, I will try to bring the Abu Garcia Fantasista BF rod back soon. The Jackson 6' 9 heavy was from Hong Kong and the Graphite leader rod was too. You can get good BFS rods off eBay, just be careful when ordering one piece rods, make sure they specify that they ship with a tube.
  15. If you can find it, definitely look out for the Abu Garcia LV7 (7.3:1) or Abu Garcia LC6 (6.3:1), they're between 200-300 and you can get them on eBay, they were released sometime in 2017. Mid-priced Japanese market reel but it is very light, fits 80 meters of 16lb fluorocarbon and weighs 5.7 oz.
  16. I have a poison adrena in the 610MH paired with my shimano metanium MGL https://imgur.com/gallery/vP5sxRh here is a few of the lures I got from my Japan trip https://imgur.com/gallery/UB5yJG7 3 of my favourite rods and reels (the adrena isnt here) Left to right Abu Garcia FC-64L MGS, Revo LTX-BF8 BTC-692H, Revo LV7 GLVRC-682M, Revo LC6 https://imgur.com/gallery/AolZu5X This is a cool bait I keep for when the situation is super tough and fish are suspended. This is a 1.5 inch RV bug by jackall, I rig it on a single light wire hook and fish it on my Airedge 642-UL ST and 3lb line. It sinks very slowly and when it does the appendages wiggle like crazy. On many occasions I have come across spooky suspended fish that don't eat any other baits and I have managed to catch using this lure. I cast it out and let it slowly sink; usually the fish will come over and look at it for a while before sucking it in. Absolutely irresistible to most fish. If you can get your hands on it you have to try it. https://imgur.com/a/Md3onB1 In terms of lures I have a bit of everything, but I don't have massive massive stocks of specific baits. I am a very serious angler but as a student I simply do not have the money to buy that many lures at once.
  17. Same! First time ever dragging a jig heavier than 1/8 oz along the bottom and getting an actual hit (I used a 3/8). I also caught my first fish on a plastic by Zoom (first time using them) I caught my first perch and rock bass First time boat/kayak fishing freshwater
  18. First lure I ever started using when I was learning to bass fish was a weightless 3 inch senko,
  19. Hey! I'm new to this forum, back then when I was living in Hong Kong (that is before I came to Canada for university) I heard about some forum called Bassresource but I could never access it from there. Now that I'm here I am finally able to join. I've been bass fishing properly for about 2 years; however I have been fishing in general since I was 5, my father hooked me. Of course, it took me a few years to be able to fish without help from my father, by the time I was 8 or 9 I was able to do this. I just turned 18 and I'm excited to fish around my area in Toronto. I have a load of gear on me and I can't wait to try it out here. All of my gear is JDM, with the exception of a few packs of yum dingers lol
