  1. Just hope to live and be well enough to fish. Catch more fish then 2024. That is my plan, nothing special.
  2. I am thinking about changing all my spinning tackle to braid with a FC leader. Can go with a thin dia braid 20-30# with 12-15# leader. Any thoughts.
  3. I have 2 Crankbait rods one is baitcaster and one is spinning. The spinning I use on windy days.
  4. I use the acetone nail polish remover for bearings and carefully use on metal parts. For the rest of the reel I use Penn Rod and Reel cleaner. Remember acetone does not play nice with plastics.
  5. I will take any bass, long, short, dink. They are just fun to catch.
  6. I didn't go too crazy got some new lipless cranks for 20%off at TW. Just enough to get the free shipping.
  7. Reels: Clean, lubricate, back off the drags,respool line if necessary. Rods: check guides for wear and clean, reseal cork grips. Tackle: check hooks, look for wear an tear replace if necssary., This is spread out over a few months.
  8. Happy Thnaksgiving to everyone and your families.
  9. Original packages stored in $1.50 plastic shoe boxes, also when fishing store some in a ziploc bag and the original packages that fit into my tackle boxes.
  10. A Kastking Mega Jaws with the Automatic Mag Dual Braking System.
  11. I try too but that not always happens. That is why we have so many different combos. Also it keeps the tackle mfg.'s is business.
  12. I use either a copolymer or tripolymer for top water
  13. I use straight braid with a trailer. Also I cut a small piece of plastic tubing, slide it over the main line, then tie off to the bait and slide the tubing down over the bend. Keeps the line from slipping.(this was an idea I found on Youtube}
