@RichF I was about to pull the trigger but they went up to $119 and now ive backed off for some reason, even though that is still an amazing deal. Would you still but another for $119 now that you've handled it? Also which one did you get? On the few reviews, I've read, the 7'5 is slightly tip heavy?

South Lake Cour D'alene
Not great. It was over 100 deg for like a week before we got there. We trolled around Chatcolet/Heyburn area for awhile. Caught a decent two pounder flipping a bush but that was abou it. I think it was took shallow for how hot it had been. We spent so much time buzzing around in the shallows (arrived at 5 am) fishing grass that we didnt get a chance to fish the old train bridge that leads into the main lake. Have to try again next year.

South Lake Cour D'alene
Headed to Cour D'alene for the 4th. I know the lake will be super busy but my uncle has a cabin on the St Joe and wants to do some bass fishing. We will be headed by boat into Chatcolet from the river and wanted to know if there is is some decent fishing around Heyburn State park or if we should head up into the chain of lakes farther up lake? I know the south end is mostly largies and pike but thats about my extent of knowledge on the subject.

Bass fishing around Ogden, UT right now...
Just saw this! Pineview is hot for fishing right now but the water is sooo low. Like 42% capacity low. Being in a canoe will be a little hard as it gets very busy with boats. There are some no wake zones in the canyon where you can catch smallies. Mantua is a safer option but its thick with grass right now. Plenty of fish to still be caught, especially early early morning. Hyrum is also decent but a long paddle in canoe to get to the far eastern side of the lake away from boaters.

THIS! I called them to cancel as Ill be gone on a trip by then and they said I could pay $15 more and get it Monday. They must have lots of people paying for the expedited shipping and pushing the free/standard shipping further down the list. Makes sense just sucks.

Since The middle of summer Ive gotten 4 of these KVD reels from this seller. Ive paid anywhere from 70-90. Still a hell of a deal. Honestly pretty good reels too. Not usually of fan of personal branded stuff but for the money these are good. Also did anyone order the Dobyns rods during the 25% off sale? When I added to cart and checked out, it said everything was in stock. Still havent received a shipping email. When I called she said they are backordered. Not necessarily in a hurry but curious if anyone actually received their items.

I just got my order. I did check all my prices against TW. Their sale price was still cheaper then TW so I went with it. The no tax is a great and $3.99 shipping is a plus for me. I just got mine and it got here much faster than expected. The no tax is a selling point for me and I did check prices against TW. But i did notice they are missing quite a few colors of certain baits compared to TW and even my local sportsmans. Nonetheless, still got some good sale items.

Big Motor Washout
What size do you use for the graphs? Just another 12v? Or can I get away with a more compact smaller battery?
-
Big Motor Washout
Thanks for clarifying. Do I need another 12v battery or can I used a smaller one and relocate somewhere else on the boat?

Big Motor Washout
Im not exactly sure what that means. Running feeds to my sonar? Im not sure what fuse the circuit means? Sorry ignorance on my part.

Big Motor Washout
I have a Garmin Striker 7 with the GT52 transducer (pre lawsuit) but I keep getting wash out from my big motor more times than not. When I shut off the big motor the lines and distortion goes away. The kicker is, it doesnt do it all the time. i'd day 60% of the time it doesnt matter if I am moving or stopped, it has interference. But from time to time its clear as day.... Dont know what that means. Any help appreciated!

Retrieve Pole
About two hours. Its a reservoir in which the walls are super steep so I put the boat up on the bank and would cast basically like a shore fisherman as I got better bottom contact. Then use th boat to get the snags. The real kicker is it my wife had to pee, as usual, so we were just about done. Crazy crazy man! That is about what I did but I used a bullet weight with a bobber stop to keep it from sliding. I have never seen that setup. What exactly is that hook for?

Retrieve Pole
Well.....I got it back!! Actually, my wife did. Took some of the biggest trebles I had off a deep diver crank threw a bunch of weights on and just started dragging. 25 feet of water. We were in shock.

Retrieve Pole
Seems like some have had some success and some, not so much. I will take all combos mentioned and give them all a try! I mean who needs to work on a Wednesday anyway.

Retrieve Pole
So over the weekend in a tournament I was on the back of the boat and and culling fish. Set my pole down on the deck with just the hook in the water. Next thing I know I hear the pole go over, no idea how unless a fish grabbed the hook. Regardless, anyone have any success or tips retrieving pole in about 25 feet of water. I wouldnt bother but its my favorite reel and pole. I have a waypoint for the general area which mostly consist of rock bottom. Any help would be appreciated!
