  1. I'm going to try using it only on the water, around weed lines and similar type stuff, but I still feel like I could get hung up on something ? It'll be fun while it lasts, though
  2. Caught a 2 pounder from marsh, buddy caught a 1.8 and a few fish missed targeting cover from boat @YoTone dang gotta get out there at night sometime, just bought a jackhammer, we'll see if it lives up to the hype or if I'm about to have a $17 snag lol
  3. Has anyone demanded at least a refund of the insane $95 shipping charge? They should do SOMETHING considering the ridiculous amount of waiting and BS we've been through just for one shipment of plastic boats.
  4. @TriStateBassin106 OK see that's very strange because I also JUST got off the phone with Cabela's customer service and they told me the new date was June 22nd (for the boats to arrive in their warehouse)
  5. @OCdockskipper Neat. What's the benefit of having the motor in the front?
  6. Not sure haha, haven't you bought yours already?
  7. Last week at Marsh Creek totals between me and my friend's three fishing outings: Saturday: Two fish, 2.5lb and 1.5lb Monday: Six fish, five of which were between 1.5 and 2, with one at 3.4.lb Thursday: Six fish, all between 1.5 and 2 Killer bite right now up shallow post-spawn
  8. Ooh didn't see that til now! Seems like a good thing that it says OOS, means they probably filled up their order from the manufacturer. Unless, of course, they oversold, then yikes
  9. Wish I lived in Kentucky... lol
  10. Any jitterbug catches? Been itching to try some topwater, but flipping has been so good to me this week...
  11. Yeah man! Was hoping to get mine before the spawn ended but that ship has sailed this week lol
  12. Biggest fish of the year so far, 3.4lb caught at the Marsh! It was long enough that I thought it HAD to be over 4, but it was all spawned out and fairly skinny unfortunately. Check out that spawned-out tail though!
  13. @Born 2 fish Hey man, did you order from Cabelas? And where are you seeing these shipping date updates if so thanks!
  14. For any Cabelas guys, just got off hold with customer service after a long wait, they said the boats should arrive at their warehouse June 15! And also that they'd send out emails once shipped...
  15. Fishing shallow at marsh today with a buddy (both wearing waders), missed a bite or two, caught a 2.5lb and a 1.5lb fish. All the guys we talked to said they had a great day on the water fishing shallow!
  16. Any cabelas or bass pro order guys get an order update yet?
  17. Went back to Ontelaunee for some revenge, 6 hours and only a one pounder to show for it unfortunately. Still gotta figure that lake out a little more!
  18. @YoTone Congrats man! That's a killer new PB!!! I hope to beat my 4.5lb PB this summer too man been two years now
  19. @WRB Smart charger, adjustable settings but from what I gathered I believe it ramps down the power of the charge until it's full, then goes to a 3A trickle charge https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/schumacher-15a-6v-12v-fully-automatic-battery-charger-sc1304/11824422-P?searchTerm=schumacher
  20. @WRB thanks! Two things, is RODI water a proper substitute for distilled, and is charging next to an open window in the garage proper enough ventilation?
  21. @Johnbt I also don't want my house to explode haha, so I'll probably charge whenever necessary, and once a month in the off season. Also, I've got an RODI filtration system that I use for my saltwater tank, and that water's something like 99% pure so I think I'll use that.
  22. @A-Jay I saw that too! I guess that employee who gave me that messed up info is gonna be needing a new battery for himself soon...
  23. Got em today! Two colors. @JediAmoeba @Smells like fish any suggestions on good treble hooks split rings for these guys? Would like to get some better hooks on 'em
  24. Two-parter question here: Just purchased this battery from Advance Auto Parts, fully expecting it to be a battery I'd have to maintain (i.e. top water off, trickle charge, etc.), but the guy at the store said he'd never put distilled water in his battery ever, and that this battery should be totally maintenance free! I find this hard to believe, as it looks like a lot of the lead-acid batteries I've seen where you need to top off water occasionally, but there's literally nothing on the battery to give me guidance here. What should I do, and how should I maintain this battery? Also, assuming it is a battery I need to maintain, any tips on how I should go about it? From what I've gathered, the basics are; keep the battery on the smart charger pretty much at all times if you're not using it, only fill up the water until it covers the plates if the battery is discharged, then fill it up all the way once it's fully charged, and that's all. This is the battery: https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/autocraft-marine-pro-battery-group-size-29hm-675-cca-29hm/10312646-p?product_channel=local&store=7773&adtype=pla&product_channel=local&store_code=7773&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI0ZL2qdu76QIVEJSzCh3QPAPbEAQYAiABEgLPn_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds This is the charger: https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/schumacher-15a-6v-12v-fully-automatic-battery-charger-sc1304/11824422-P?searchTerm=schumacher
  25. @YoTone Nah that's fair, totally understand man
