  1. When it’s really hot I shotgun 7-8 ice cold fosters oil cans. The reason for the shotgun is so they don’t get warm in the sun.
  2. Looks like a doyo reel. Has the line ID dial that lews uses. At $200 price point I bet it’s pretty solid

  4. How did you spool the line on? Did you lay the spool flat on the ground?
  5. How old is the leader? Sounds like it needs to be replaced. if it’s new & in good shape is there a short “pigs tail” where it broke off?
  6. I fish weightless 5” senkos on the nrx 894c with a lews pro-ti. Casts great & really drives the hook home. Also the extra power helps fishing in thick weeds
  7. the thumb bar can be replaced. However i have not seen one sold separately from the frame. Also the o-ring comes off the side plate & is readily available anywhere parts are sold.

  10. It’s a great rod & very sensitive. You may need to try different weight/size reels on it until you find the right balance. When balanced the weight is not an issue.

  12. Cashion makes a few worm/jig rods that are 6’6”. Check icon series g loomis makes 6’6” mbr rods in a few different series. finding a 6’ rod these days is tough.

  17. Try southwest parts & dads ole tackle. Mike’s reel repair in Canada has had stuff I couldn’t find anywhere else in the past.
  18. I use them regularly in 75’-125’ jigging for lake trout. I use 3/4-1oz jig heads.
