  1. Try Berkeley Nanofil. It has awesome sensitivity and strength!!!!! Plus it has a thin diameter and casts easily. Use it on spinning reels only because it's designed for Spinning reels. I use between 8-10lb test.... just my preference.
  2. When it comes to Braid I believe every brand is different. My 1st braid that I tried was Spiderwire, it's very, very strong, but very very stiff... don't throw light lures with it. However, right now I'm using Berkeley Nanofil 8-10lb test braid and right now this braid is great!!!!! It's not stiff at all, casts like a dream, strong and sensitive. Very versatile, as I can tie on a crappie jig rig, catch crappie and then switch to a bass lure. So far this IS the best braid for Spinning reels!!! It always stays tight on the spool and NEVER loops up!!
