Thanks for the replies. 3.5-4 was what I was thinking. I asked the second question because I was fishing there a couple weeks ago and saw the silhouette of what looked like a 6-7 lb bass. Just making sure I'm not crazy.

First, I know it's not the largest. My buddy and I were fishing a really small pond (~3 acres) in the Kansas City area and he pulled this sucker out of there. Our scale was in the car a half mile away. Quite frankly, we weren't expecting much. How big could largemouth bass get, theoretically, in an environment like this (I've never seen anyone else fish there)?

I'm a 6-6'6" guy. Then again, I prefer 1 piece rods so this isn't surprising.
