  1. Hello, I recently purchased a hook2 9 fish finder, and I am trying to install it on the bow. I ran 14 gauge wire from the front of the boat to the battery and I am trying to understand where to put in the fuse. I was told on the positive lead right next to the battery. However, the supplied fuse from the unit seems to be about 22 gauge wire. So, I would be going from 22 gauge wire to 14 gauge wire run to the front of the boat, back to 22 gauge wire which is the power cord of the unit. Does this make sense? Or should I buy a 14 gauge inline fuse? Thanks!
  2. Thank you both. The boat has the original trailer that is not galvanized. Just a bit worried about rust is all.
  3. Im considering purchasing a 18 ft aluminum bass boat and I will need to store it outside in the winter here in Michigan. I was told that the trailer will rust far more quickly if it is parked on grass compared to a patch of gravel or rocks. Is there truth to this? Thanks!!!
  4. It is a 4 stroke
  5. I appreciate all the advice here. It seems there is variability here as well, but that around 2 - 3k is a reasonable number. Thank you!
  6. Hello All, I am struggling to find a fair price for a used boat that I want to purchase from a family member, and I was hoping for some help here. The boat is an aluminum 2003 Bass Tracker pro 175 (I believe) with a working 50 hp motor that needs a little tune up. Basic model with basic electronics. Overall, it is in pretty good shape, but could use some clean up and updates. I have seen prices varying wildly from $1000 to $7000. Any advice would be appreciated.
