What length of boat should I buy?
Man, you have a crap shoot there, stay with a good bird in the hand or look for one in the bush. If you would be comfortable in the 19 where you will be going and you are familiar with the water conditions that you would face, dollars and how much do you want to be out NOW might tip the balance for you.

Minn Kota switch problems AGAIN
Switches could indeed be all of the problem but make sure that you are using the correct recommended wire size as too light a wire increases the amount of heat in the wiring and reduces the amount of current available. That will work all of the parts mighty hard and if there is a component that isn't up to it, well you know it will be replacement time soon.

towing a boat 2018 subaru outback
I would really suggest looking in your owners manual to see what your towing capacity is and then stay well below that. Wind resistance adds to tow weight and you don't want to overload the Subie. Twice over the years I've had to get a larger tow vehicle because I was working my truck to death trying to pull a rig that was supposedly within my towing limits.

Need help with my trolling motor setup thank you!
Looks good to me, as I said make your joints tight, a poor crimp is like using a wire that's too small.Since

Need help with my trolling motor setup thank you!
Since you are already using #4 wire I would stick with that. You notice that the chart in the manual shows heavier wire for longer runs and while you don't want to choke the system right at the start unless you are pushing the 20 ft limit there is no need to go heavier. Make sure that your connections are good and tight and the wires are run so they are out of the way and won't be damaged. After that go enjoy some fishing. Edit: actually I made an assumption on the length of wire that you need, use the chart to determine the proper guage wire, they are assuming that you are going to use a fuse/circuit breaker and connectors.

electrolysis
Maybe what we should ask is where do you see the electrolysis? Jig man is right, it may be in the normal places.

Boatzincs.com is one

electrolysis
"Electrolysis is a thing with boats so give it something cheap to eat away" is the idea so sacrificial metal is the ticket.

Show your ride...
My new to me 1977 17' Glastron 140 hp project boat, just added the Minn Kota Maxxum 70 and couldn't be happier with the rig. Would you believe it was the wife that was the reason for getting the boat!

trolling motor power
I recently got a Minn Kota Maxxum 70 for my 17' Glastron boat and couldn't be happier with the tm. It has plenty power and being a bow mount foot control it is really easy to control (unless you have a side wind and are going slowly, then all bets are off!)

trolling motor power
Unless of course he wants to pull skiers.

Trolling motor for sale?
The boat itself is 900lb and can hold a max of 1085lb so about 2k lb. I think that I could get by with as little as 40#. I bought a Minn Kota Maxxum 70 just because it was $175 and with the cost of a second battery would be about what I expected to pay for a 12 volt unit. If you are on the lake and see a boat pulling skiers with just the trolling motor that would be me! Thanks for the help all.

Trolling motor for sale?
I started with Craigslist but all that was there had already been sold and the poster hadn't bothered to take down their post. (One of my pet peeves)

Trolling motor for sale?
Does anyone in the NC area have a Trolling motor for sale? I have blown through my budget on this 1977 Glastron rebuild I've been doing and still need (of course I need it dw) a trolling motor. Looking for a bow mount 40 to 55 thrust and 45" shaft. If you know of one pretty cheap I'm I interested.
