Well the only reason I was asking on this topic was I just purchased the rip n chatter by st croix the mojo glass version Idk I was using my sweeper spinner tournament legend and it just didn’t feel good with the chatter bait I mean don’t get me wrong I’ve caught fish with throwing chatters I was at point where I was contemplating buying this rod but still ended up purchasing I just haven’t got an opportunity to use it yet and that was the other thing I was thinking since it’s a heavy power should I just put 50lb braid and let it rip I currently have 15lb Floro on it with the tatula elite 6.3 and yeah I’m still getting the hang of things when it comes to this sport but I’m hooked and trying to be the best I can be and versatile as well

I’m daiwa all the way I have two tatula sv tws, two Steez sv tw, tatula elite, and a zillion tw hd they are awesome reels

Mine is my 7’ mh/f st croix Premier spinning combo I can throw almost everything on it with a Pflueger president xt 3500 or my 6’6 avid m/f with a 2500 Stradic fj

Well yeah I want a legend glass bad for a crank bait rod but I’ve been contemplating the 7’2 mm or the 7’4 mhm I already own the rip n chatter mojo glass I just haven’t been able to use it yet

Thank you what gear ratio are you throwing on those rods if you don’t mind me asking I have the 6.3:1 tatula elite on the rip n chatter and on my 7’ mh/mf 6.3:1 steez sv tw

That would be sweet to come out there and catch Spanish large mouth but the elite is a nice reel it has a deeper spool then say the sv spools on the tatulas I’ve never used anything but daiwa for baitcasters I have the tatula elite on my rip n chatter rod now I just haven’t been able to use the combo I was thinking I might throw the 7.1:1 elite on it tho the reel looks real nice on the rod tho

Yeah I’m throwing them with a 6.3:1 Tatula sv tws I was debating on putting my steez sv tw 7.1:1 but I have that on my top water and I don’t have any higher gear ratio reels sitting around I can really sacrifice from my other combos

Well darn that sucks I just recently purchased the rip n chatter I was going to use that for like ripping thru grass But I got a 6.3:1 on it with 15lb Floro I was going to switch the reel to a 7.1:1 and and throw 50lb braid for just that purpose and get another chatter set up for open water presentation I was reading something about ripping thru the grass and using braid and it seemed good I haven’t got a chance to throw my new rip n chatter yet I just heard great reviews I mean I have the sweeper spinner rod by st croix the tournament legend I could just use it for this other applications

So I was thinking of getting a legend glass 6’10 mh/m for shallow cranking and to use it to double over as a open water chatter rod any in put

Awesome bro I’d like to know your opinion on it I just got it and paired it with the tatula elite 6.3:1 I haven’t had a chance to use it and probably won’t be able to for a little bit my work load got heavier so it’ll be a week or so till I use and your English is great my boss is from Russia his English is horrible and my grandmother grew up in Madrid

See I also just purchased the avid x 6’8 mxf I was going to use the for my top water because my avid 6’6 mf is my top water but I have the casting and spinning version of the avid and when I was using the spinning version it seemed to work well but I use that rod for finesse fishing the spinning combo so I was thinking would that avid x 6’8 mxf be a better option for jerk bait or better for my top water I just want to be able to have a top water setup and jerkbait setup

I keep herring about this top water what’s your guys thought on it

I only haves frog rod h/f and either 6’6 m/f or 6’8 m/xf and I throw ploppers poppers and walking baits I’m trying to figure which one will be best for these applications

Yeah idk cause for my top water I’ve been throwing them on a. 6’6 avid m/f for walking poppers and ploppers but I just order the avid x 6’8 m/xf and I wanted to make one for top water and the other into my jerk bait rod
