  2. I have this fishing backpack: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A0PA46U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Which is fine for carrying to a spot and putting down and on a boat but seems to big to carry all the time while fishing.
  3. It's a scam, drop it and move on, no way you are getting a 15-18k boat for 2k, it's too good to be true. I've seen the exact same scam on craigslist and never attempted to contact the seller.
  4. As the Bass Resource guy said in the summer bass video, big bass are loners, so most likely if you are catching smaller bass you may be near a school of them but only one big hawg may lurk. I see that a lot in FLA ponds where we are catching 1-3 pounders but the big ones are caught in different locations.
  5. I agree with what you are saying. There are several factors for bass to hit, weather, time of day, and lure/bait, lure method that they are inclined to hit at the time. Once you intersect all the variables, bam, you get a big hit on something you might of thought would not work. I'm kind of new to big bass fishing so I'm learning as I go. So far the biggest bass I have caught was on a silver popper from the Bass Pro discount barrel in the isle. My son and his friend were fishing with other lures and weren't having any luck. That day I ended up with a 6 (one in my pic), 5, 3 pound bass on the popper and they caught nothing. After I left about 10:30 that morning I gave them the popper but they did not catch anything on it the rest of the day. Weird! ?
  6. I live west coast FLA ,but being summer its most likely you need to adjust your bait selection, bait retrieval method and times of the day. Try a 5in senko worm and slow retrieve in the AM or PM for starters.
  7. I live in Mid-Florida so winter is not an issue but stubborn summer bass sure can be! ? What keeps me going is reading this forum and getting ideas along with the memory of the rush when a big old bass comes up for a popper, etc! Another advantage I have is I can go to the bay and wade out for red fish but I live about an hour from the salt water flats in the Tampa area so its an all day thing.
  8. I've been having a rough summer here in mid Florida compared to right after the spawn but after doing some research was able to recover. The other day went out in the morning on a large pond, and using a 5" watermelon senko, (slow retrieve) weightless, was able to pull in nine bass in about two hours. They weren't the big boys we were catching after the spawn but still the results helped our morale. ? To me, its about the right bait, right conditions, right time and finding the fish? Keep researching and working different baits and techniques until it all comes together. ?
