  1. Thanks for the opinions. I bought the Skeeter and fished in at the Stick Marsh yesterday, love the boat. The only issue I had was the boat wanting to porpoise at slow on-plane speeds. I need to take some time and figure out how to get it planed out properly but the Stick Marsh isn't the place to do that. Thanks
  2. I'm not concerned about it holding its value, it appears to me that the used skeeters are cheaper than some other brands and was wondering why.
  3. Thanks for the reply fella's. I'm drawn to the Skeeter but never owned one. I like the fact that it has a Yamaha 4 stroke, they are great motors. I'll give it some thought any may just pull the trigger. Thanks again
  4. I'm thinking of purchasing a newer bass boat. I found a 2012 Skeeter ZX200 that looks great. My question is that it appears to me that Skeeter boats don't seem to hold their value as well as some of the others? Any thought's on this?
  5. I'm looking for advice on a 2012 Yamaha SHO 200hp motor. I've had several Yamaha 4 strokes but I'm not familiar with the SHO's. I've found a bass boat that I'm interested in. The boat looks great, I just don't know much about the reliability of the SHO, any advice wiuld be appreciated....Thanks
  6. I'm considering buying a 2012 Skeeter FX200 with a 2012 Yamaha 200hp Vmax 4 Stroke. The boat is in excellent condition. I'm really looking for opinions on the hull. I don't have any experience/knowledge with Skeeter. Thanks
  7. Thanks for the reply. I have a 2002 Stratos 20XL.
  8. I live in central Florida and fish in water typically 2-5 feet. I'm sure the power poles would be fine but I don't like the extra weight. I have a buddy that has 2 power poles and they weigh 60# each!
  9. I'm leaning towards buying a GPS capable trolling motor with "Spot Lock" instead of adding power poles to my boat. Is a trolling motor with GPS good enough to hold you on a spot or do you need power poles? I'm trying to keep from adding the additional weight of the power poles to my boat. Thoughts?
  10. I did some research, Chevron makes Yamalube if the info I found on the web was accurate. I wonder if there's something better out there.
  11. I agree concerning the reliability of Yamaha outboards, they're great. I doubt there's much difference in fuel consumption between outboard brands, I know the VMAX is going to be thirsty compared to a four stroke. I appreciate the reply.
  12. I love the Yamaha 4 Strokes, great motors. I typically run ethanol gas and add ethanol medic and will add the ring free additive in the VMAX. Any thoughts/advice on running ethanol vs non-ethanol in the VMAX? Thanks
  13. I pulled the trigger and bought the Stratos, so far so good. It seems to be in great shape. Everything works except for 2 courtesy lights. The Vmax 225 runs super strong. Any thoughts concerning 2 stroke oil? Should I sitck with Yamalube 2M or is there something better out there? Thanks
  14. Thanks for the reply. Thank you.
  15. Again, I'm asking specifically about the 2002 Stratos 20XL. Thanks for the reply/guidance.
  16. I've had lots of boats. I never had 2002 Stratos 20XL, that's why I asked about it specifically.
  17. Thanks. Any thoughts on the 2002 Stratos 20XL?
  18. I recently returned to Bass fishing and looking to purchase a bass boat. I don't want to break the bank. I'm going to look at a 2002 Stratos 20XL that appears to be in mint condition. It has an 02 yamaha VMAX 225 with perfect compression. New carpet/Upholstry. newer electronics, trolling motor. Just looking for thoughts/advice. Thanks
