Caddo or Bistineau for Mid April trip ?
I'm planning a trip to Caddo in April, but have heard I should hit up Bistineau as well. The trip is for three days, so I guess I will split the time between Caddo and Bistineau. My question is, knowing those lakes, those times of year, should I spend two days at Caddo and one day at Bistineau or vice versa? Would also appreciate any advice for that time of year. Excited to explore these lakes as they are nothing like what I am used to. TIA

Finally Made It to Fork – New PB and Some Tips to Share! 04/11/25-04/12/25
I finally had the chance to make it down to Lake Fork this past weekend, and man—it did not disappoint! Like a lot of you, I’ve spent time scrolling through forums trying to gameplan, so I figured I’d return the favor and share what I saw and learned... plus brag a little about my new personal best! This trip was for a tournament on Saturday. After a lot of map study, I decided to focus on Little Caney Creek. Overall, the fishing was solid, especially if you were patient. There were plenty of buck bass on beds, but the water was pretty stained, so having a good pair of polarized glasses was absolutely essential. Now, I’ll be the first to admit that bed fishing isn’t really my thing, and apparently it’s a lot of people’s thing... because I’ve never seen that many boats in one area doing the exact same thing. Easily 50+ boats targeting bedding fish. It was wild. That said, I had better luck fishing the outside edges of the grass with a frog and a swim jig. The real highlight was landing a Giant (pic below!) on a Booyah Toadrunner—easily my new PB and a bite I’ll never forget. If I were headed back, I might choose a different area just to avoid the crowd, but Little Caney definitely held fish and seemed to have a bit less traffic than some of the more popular creeks. I also went ahead and marked some of the spots where I saw the most beds for future reference. Fork was an awesome experience overall. Just be ready for serious fishing pressure and some of the most educated bass you’ll ever cast at. Hope this helps someone out!

Lake fork next weekend
So I am going to be spending two days at lake fork next weekend. I’ve never really targeted big fish specifically but I kind of want to take a day on fork and dedicated it to big baits and targeting big fish. If you were doing that this time of year how would you target them ? I’ll also take any advice or tips on the lake you want to part with. TIA

Answering "what you're looking forward to from us if we secure the partnership" from a rod company
I am a tournament kayak angler with a growing social media presence and have my first opportunity to secure a rod sponsorship. They have responded positively but I don't know how to answer the above question. I don't want to ask for too much but I don't want to leave something on the table. TIA for the advice!

I’m going to Broken Bow lake at the end of October and would love some advice for targeting bass the two days I’m going to be fishing. Would love to find some water that is dingier and not crystal clear. Thanks in advance!

Spreadsheet or App to Track AOY - HELP
I started a Kayak Fishing Club and for the first event I tracked AOY points on a Google Sheets spreadsheet. With the second event I realized I might need the assistance of a spreadsheet that calculates and sorts standings automatically or an app. Does anyone have any suggestions for either of those?

March Tournament Question since there's snow on the ground here in OK.
I always hear that cold/muddy water is the worst possible conditions to bass fish in. I also hear that in pre spawn I should look for clear water. This all makes sense to me except I also hear that stained/muddy water warms up faster which in my thought process means the warmest water should be stained/dirty. I am fishing my earliest tournament this year ( Middle of March) in Oklahoma and traditionally prefer pretty stained water. The lake I am fishing has a North end that appears much more stained than the south end. I would like to fish it but am not sure if that is a mistake. I likely will get a half of day of practice and don’t want to waste it. I say all that to ask: How cold is too cold for fairly stained water in the pre spawn? (less than 2ft of visibility)

This boat is for sell near me for 3k. Would it be worth even considering a boat this old? I've never owned a boat but my sone is 7 and has started asking to go when I take my kayak out. In the market for an affordable boat so he can tag along. I probably kayak fish 70 days a year. Thanks in advance for your opinions and advice

5 Inch Bullshad
I fish some Kayak online tournaments and struggle to consistently hit North of the 19 inch mark. I'm wondering if buying a 5 inch bull shad would be a good strategy to target those quality fish rather than quanity.
