Three inch ribbon tail on 1/16 oz lead head in black or a one and two inch single tail curly grub on lead head in white works when all else fails

Ribbon tails seem to be popular here is few ways: 3 or 4 inch ribbon tails on 1/16 or 1/8 oz lead head fish just off the bottom steady retrieve over grass or edges of weeds and pads lanes, docks parallel or vertical jigging the poles, black, black fire or chart tail fave summer way is weightless fished over weeds or in pads on top should be white cos the bottom of frogs and snakes are white 4 or 6 inch whats your fave finesse method with ribbon tails

Do they police those lakes that much, in 55 yrs fishing I’ve only seen a game warden twice texas is far more on the hunting side and not much on the fishing end

Anyone knows source for mismatched tackle? weight seems to dictate size i find the size I need but not heavy enough, or I like a light lead head 1/16 but the hook is too small looking for a 2 or 3 inch spinnerbait that’s 1/2 oz for matching small shad on deep drop offs should be somebody who deals in mismatched lures

Love dead sticking seems to elicit violent strikes Was breaking for lunch one day in a cove and left my gold color Redfin hanging over the edge of the boat about 8 inches out of the water and a bass busted the surface and tried to get that bait, scared the hell out of us lol

Never said flipping was a gimmick dancing eel and helicopter lure are i said gimmicks and gadgets flipping stick is a gadget special rod for special situation as if you could not possible flip with a 5 1/2 ft spinning rod more equipment more sales follow the money

How and where do you fish traps? ive never done any good on them the old heddon sonic in small lakes and ponds but not big impoundments

Thanks red is a factor but in bright light conditions caught plenty bass back in the day of Mann’s jelly worms strawberry red, black grape was effective also

I know guys who swear by a green pumpkin senko but I don’t do any good on either
