  1. What’s yours? i like sassy shads, white single tail grubs, no. 7 rapala’s and twitch worms
  2. Don’t try to over power them just wear them out and back wind, that’s what a lot of the old timers do. Charlie brewer slider method for example its on YouTube if you like

Using nets and drag systems causes the loss of most big fish, tighten the drag all the way then disengage your spinning reel and practice back winding even with light line 6 lb and playing a large fish (tire them out where you hooked them not at the boat) then moved to the fish with a tight line and rod high can save the day! Patience is required and you will rarely loose a good fish.

  6. Sand bass fish a 2 inch white or pearl single curl tail grub 1/8 lead head cast and sink a few feet then steady retrieve 8 lb test mono works for me true bass don’t make nests like lmb which are actually sunfish
  7. Definitely a sandie or sand bass or white bass, btw lmb are sunfish and not bass

  9. How’s a Ned rig different from a jig worm?

  12. Definitely a 2 inch white single tail grub n 1/16 oz lead head on 6 lb 5 1/2 ft spinning rod can be fish like any other lure and then some
  13. If there’s shad either white or chartreuse sassy shads are good too especially on riprap
  14. A little known method is the floating worm or twitch worm, weightless 4 inch straight tail with a small hook, do nothing or slight twitches works good on riprap, flats and points and docks

Centering a pond Early and late you can fish normally with small top waters spinners etc. during day and hot months fish deep with drop shot or Ned or split shots, Centering, cast to the center of the pond with a 4 in ribbon tail worm either Texas or on a 1:16 oz jig head and let sink to the bottom then swim it to the bank slowly move all around the pond!
  22. Best bait for flats 1/8 oz lead head and a 2 inch single tail white grub fished like a spinner bait cover lots of water fast then key in on the areas where you get bit fishing the whole water column rapala’s on top, grub and neds under and split shots or drop shots or Texas rugged on bottom
