Best of the best Japanese crankbaits...
Jon, I've heard before you talking about the Air viper Risebacker and I've picked up a few of them, but in the colors I kinda liked, I could only get one sound-lo. how deep does the Imakatsu IK-400 run? I have had a little communication with FD, we've traded a couple baits, and he is going to send me one when he gets it complete. I haven't tried any of OPS HF baits yet. I'm trying to build up my custom made cranks also. Here is the Risebackers I picked up:

Best of the best Japanese crankbaits...
I've bought quite a few Japanese made cranks in the last couple years. I've got probably 12 lucky craft moonsault model 200's since I caught a 9lb. on one of their chart. shad a couple years ago, and haven't caught many others on all of them. And then I got into the Megabass cyclone mr-x & md-x series, 8 of them and I've done real well on one color, the AKA Tora, the others haven't seen too many fish are working their way farther down in the tacklebox. I've got a couple each of the Megabass Deep-x 200's and the Bait-x, they also haven't smelled a fish. I've got a megabass vision 110 and a couple pointers that have a little success. About 6 lucky craft lipless baits with a little luck on. A seible magic swimmer I haven't gave much effort yet. I just ordered 3 Risebacker lipless crankbaits that I haven't got to try yet. I've got 2 Junior D's I haven't done much on yet. A Megabass Griffon 6cc thats new.I have done quite well on an Evergreen combat crank, shallow runner, red colored and I've caught some nice bass on a ImakatsuIK-250 redish gold colored. Maybe I'm just picking the wrong colors :-/ Oh well, I still got quite a few Zoom/wec cranks and some custom made crankbaits to try this year too ;D

Zappu Inchi Wacky Jig
I have not tried them but I seen Zappu is coming out with the pd chopper and its suppose to be hot in Japan used with Jackall Anomite shad or the sasuseki craw.

Spinnerbait vs. Crankbait
Maybe its a confidence thing with me but there is no comparsion, I catch way more on a crankbait than a spinner, and I throw a crank way more than a spinner ;D. Although I did see some really good looking spinnerbaits on ***s site, awesome looking spinners

Shad's and Shiners...
They all look nice.

Zappu pd chopper w/Jackall anomite shad
I've seen a little buzz about these lately and was curious if anybody has tried them? They may have just came out, or be hard to get. It is a good looking set-up, but why wouldn't another flat head jig work just as good? any suggestions on a similar set-up?

Best zoom worm/lizard/creature?
Zoom Mag. watermellon/red. I've been thinking about checking out the zoom super swim flukes, I've heard a few guys say they like them.

Shimano stradic Ci4
I finally got enough BPS gift cards saved up and went to pick up the ci4 and they are out of stock and 81 on backorder. Oh well, the temp. outside is like 11 so I got awhile. I may try P-line cx premiumn 8lb. I think the reel would be better suited for either 6 or 8 instead of the 10lb I've been using.

snowed in... realizing how the bait monkey got me since i found BR
- anybody familar with Bear creek lakes(4) in north Al.?
Sounds like a quiet, remote type of lake, with some good fishing, and I enjoy that about as much as anything. What would be a good time for prespawn bass in this area?- Camp Mack Resort
We talked about going to Camp Mack a couple years ago, but ended up changing and went to lake Fork in Texas instead. But, a year or two before that we went to Vero Beach area, stayed at a Holiday Inn on I-95( ? i think), we were going to fish several lakes in the area.We fished our 1'st. evening at Stick marsh, and planned on returning the next morning. We were ready to walk out the motel room and my buddy looks out the window and see my brothers ranger boat being pulled out, by a truck other than his, and his Ford 250 being drove out by itself. 10 mins, maybe 5 mins, later, we would have walked out on them. They got away with his Ranger boat, Ford 250, and all 3 of our fishing gear, his toolbox in the bed loaded with stuff. We ran out of the room and seen them heading towards the interstate. We had to rent a car to drive home.We even turned the boat sideways in the parking spot and backed the truck back up against it. The thieves didn't even bother unplugging the elec. cord, it was dragging behind the boat. It took the police maybe 15 mins to get there, and they filled out a quick report, had kinda of an oh well attitude and left. The boat was recovered maybe a month later, stripped, motor, seats, all equipment, gone. A couple months later the truck we found close to Miami, the tool box was gone, and all odd and end stuff. By then his insurance had paid off. I'm not knocking Camp Mack, I have heard its a good place to stay. And, I'm not knocking Fl., I'd love to go back and fish stick marsh again. Just be extra careful, take any and all precautions, maybe even remove the coil wire from your truck and disable your boat somehow. Its sad you have to go to these extremes. The police told us at the time they had previously caught a new dump truck loaded on a ship about to leave the port in Miami, stolen. I'm not trying to sound negative about your trip, just secure your stuff as much as you can, anywhere. Good luck- More hard baits
Very nice zbass. I really like pics 1 & 4 nice detail- Something new
I'm not that crazy about the finish on the 1'st two pics, but I like the last one. Oh yea Marty, I received my lures today, the foiled finish and the dolphin color, and I'm very pleased. Outstanding quality...super paint job Thanks again Marty- Any tips for Kentucky Lake
I haven't fished the lake much, but I have family that fish in regular and I know they fish ledges with a carolina rig and do good. I'm not sure if March 20'th might be a little early for bass, but give it a try and maybe do some crappie fishing if the bass aren't hitting. ;D- Need advice on good shore fishing spots in Indiana
Although most areas I fish are not close to Indy, I don't mind sharing a little fishing info, after all, I think thats somewhat the concept of the fishing forum. And since these areas are public waters, you could find them by doing a little research on your own. I fish mostly small lakes in the southern part of the state and have done fairly well on them all, the Hoosier national forest off I-64 close to Evansville has 4 very nice small remote lakes, Indian, Celina, Tipsaw, Saddle. Plus there are numerous ponds in the forest that I haven't fished, you can get a map from the Forest service, but you might have to hike into them. Starvehollow lake near Brownstown is a real nice small lake that has boat rentals. Tucker lake near Paoli. Elk creek lake outside Scottsburg is remote and nice. Salinda and John Hay lakes near Salem are very nice lakes also. You can find info on about all these small lakes from the Indiana DNR. All of these are trolling motor lakes only. Good luck fishing- "Go To" Lure???
I have to try the old faithful Bomber model 6a redfire craw ;D- Shimano stradic Ci4
I've been reading up on the ci4 and looking into maybe getting one in Feb. to replace my shimano stradic 2500fi, which really stills works fine, and putting the ci4 on a Gloomis sjr783 for mostly worm fishing. I've been using 10lb. P-line cx-premiumn, and may try to go down to 8lb. when I get the ci-4. Do you think I should drop down in line size? :-/- Roboworms
I've done good on the 7 1/2" Roboworm in Aarons magic and Red crawler I think I need to order some more.- Mini Contest
Yea, that was a cool idea ;D- Some requests and some for fun!
very nice detail zbass. I think I like # 1 & 3 the best- Hooks on Jitter bugs
I really like running the jitterbug up close and along the bank at dusk and into the dark. Its a classic- Another batch of cranks
Very nice work again Marty - anybody familar with Bear creek lakes(4) in north Al.?
