I may have a chance to get in on a fishing trip to Bear creek lakes, (Bear creek, Little bear, upper bear and Cedar creek)around Russelville in north Al. around April 1'st and was curious if anybody has ever fished them and would share any info? From what I understand they are somewhat remote, and we would be staying in cabins on one of the lakes. Hopefully the water temp. will be warming up by then :-/

Most everybody has covered the running part in the boat lanes, but most areas that your are going to fish are littered with stump after stump after stump. expect to get your boat hung up quite often, at times you will feel like a pinball, and then you'll get hung up again

Would shaving the edge of the bill on say a Bomber or Bandit crankbait with a file change the action or depth of the lure? I've heard of people doing it, just curious if it would do more harm than good, and how precise it would have to be or if the lure would run all goofy.

We got a quite large BPS within a few miles, Jeffersonville/Clarksville Indiana, it has 3 levels and is very nice. My 3yr. old grandson loves going and walking around, and me too ;D. I just wished they stocked more brands of fishing lures instead of clothes, food stuff, etc.. If you considered all the lures they don't stock, it would add a lot to their selection. I browse thru their catalog at home, but don't order anymore form them on-line.

Yea, I kinda had doubts Dave. I don't have an airgun or spray set-up, and would like to clear coat some of the lures I've got. what clear coat do most guys use? Is there any I could use w/o a spray set-up?

Has anybody tried either the Gamakatsu ewg's or the Owner in red ? Do they cost more?
