  1. *Update* I called F&G just now and they said they will look into it
  2. Avid, Your right I haven't called F&G personnely, but I have told the park personnel on several occasions. I would think in turn they would take the aproperate action. I will call them though myself, I just hate to see this happening.
  3. Acouple years ago i was fishing and caught or I mean almost :-[ He broke off right on shore with my favorite lure :'(. Next day same area I get a hit and reeled he in and Suprise, suprise my good ole buddy with my lure still stuck in his mouth... ;D
  4. Hey all, I have a question for you all. How many of you all have a active game warden on you lake, River or what ever body of water????? Do you see him or her? does he or she make there rounds daily? The reason I'm asking is here on my local lakes there seems to be a lack of or a a lazy one. There is so many poacher's here and they are catching and keeping everything!!!!! bass limit is 5 and minnium of 12 inches, They have 20. Most of the time they are nice ones but they also have little ones all strung up >. When Crappie season hits thats when they really come out of the wood works they bring 5 gal buckets and fill them to the brim with every size > man this makes me so ticked off, I pay every year for a liscense and theses people just go out and exploite the system, They don't care. When I see this I comfront them and say hey your not supossed to be doing this, Do you know the rules and limits???? They just look at me smiling and act like they don't understand english . Sorry I just have to vent and i do tell the park people this, but it seems its going in deaf ears, most of the times
  5. Welcome aboard, good to have you
  6. Hey you all, I don't know if this was covered or not, if it has I'm sorry, and if you could link me Basically my question is does the spawn pros pone when a cold front comes in and cools everything down. What I mean do they(male and Female) leave the nest to deeper waters?? I'm having a hard time locating these bass :-?. This a hard time in the year(atleast for me). the transition from winter to spring hear in California the weather is so unpredictable .
  7. Hey Extreme, LOL... when I first saw that too, I had to do a double take But if it works for them, then its all good
  8. Well I don't have a boat, but I know what you all mean about those jet skiers, pleasure boaters and new one here is wind surfing ... they all think the whole lakes theres and don't care much for others it seems:-? Oh yeah who could forget those muscle boat freaks : > :(
  9. Hey ranger, Sorry to hear that you had to deal with that punk >. I would guess he witnessed you pulling out that whopper and he said to himself " I gotta get this guy outa hear since this is the spot" Being me I would of probably hold my ground and tell him to get lost, but I would have to been there or experience that situation. I had a simaliar experience with a boater one year. I was fishing in a area for awhile, catching some good bass. A boater took notice which there was three guys total on board and alittle hammered I might add!!!!they procceded to improach in my area, I thought to myself what the?????? these guys have a boat, and can go anywhere on that lake as they wanted to, but decided to exploit my catching. So I just said Thanks Guys and left. But that whole day I was heated and I ran scenerios in my head of things I could of done. most of all probably getting my butt kicked being the number one!!!! I'm sorry that it happened to you man, what did you do? Nice fish by the way
  10. Hey all, you know I was just thinking the other night before I fell asleep and was wondering if this was weird :-/? How many of you all cast and retreive with the same hand???? What I mean as you throw out(lets say your right hand, I'm right handed)as the bait lands you switch hands and retrieve with your casting hand.. Does this make sense :-?????????? How many of you do this?????? Or am I just a weird one ?? P.s I hope it was ok to put this hear, should be really a poll...lol :-/
  11. Hey you all Got back from the lake just awhile ago. I was out there by 7:00 it was foggy and a slight cold breeze. I hit the areas hard. Probably about 2 hours later Got my first bass of the day just shorty after I got another. they were just over a pound each. They were small ones but I was happy Then the day went down hill, Theres a cold front blowing in, and the temp was falling with increasing clouds. The time I left it was pretty much drizzling and chilly. But all and all a good, but tough day. This spring weather is tough here......acouple warm and bluebird days then acouple days later cold front. Makes it tough to get the big umms
  12. Hey Falcon, I'm about 4 hours north just past Santa Maria :)

welcome!!!!!!!!!! what a great site, hope you get alot out of it as much as i do
  15. Thankyou you all :) I went out this evening, I had an hour or so. wind was howling out on the lake, Thats one of the elements that is common on this lake, its between the hills, straight shot from the ocean. So I had to find a sheltered cove. I caught one just at sun down, little guy just at a pound..lol but hey it was a good thing . Its funny just as the sun sets over the hills the little bats start coming out..... darting the area over the lake catching all the bugs.. when you have a line out they swoop in and out around your line some times bumping into it, lol... if your not paying attention you think you just had a bite ;D plan on waking up early tomorrow and head back out....wish me luck
  16. Oh I plan On staying here for along time :) . Theres just so much knowledge and experience here. So far this spring on one of the lakes I'm fishing on is producing big bass, water here is still alittle cold, but climbing as the fair weather holds up. this time of year, as being so close to the ocean, the fog is a issue and the random cold fronts passing... but they are bedding down. I will be taken pictures of the catches, and hopefully snap a hog for you all . Is there anyone else in California...near me???????????? always looking for fishing partners
  17. Hello all, I just wanted to say hello and I'm glad i found this site . I have already learned so much by reading all the articles. Very useful . I will tell alittle about myself. I have been fishing for about 15 years, mostly bass. I am still a rookie in bass fishing, I have much to learn and I hope to learn more from you all. I live in Central Coast, California ( Arroyo Grande). I fish my local lakes (lopez, margarita and acouple others.) I use to be a Firefighter for 12 years, and as of last year I had to medically retire do to an Injury on the job. So I have alot of free time to catch up on my fishing, and taking care of my 3 year old daughter. I am a shore fisherman and hope to one day own my own boat . If any of you are in my local area, I am always looking for fishing partners, so hit me up..... Boat or no boat.... but I have a good truck that can hual one . Till laters, Happy fishing!!!!!
