What I do not understand is why hunters and fisherman are charged exorbitant fees for our recreation? I am from VA I pay $40 for a license plus a new $25 fee for boat ramps plus $10 to throw a cast net plus a $20 trout stamp plus more for specific areas. Obviously this in underhanded punishment from those that don't like our sport. What about biking, golf, hiking, mountain climbing etc etc etc? I know about regulated stocks, education and management but its more than that. We pay taxes to maintain hiking trails, build roads access to mountains state parks etc. thats all through our taxes. People like deer on their property and in parks but only hunters pay to maintain the herd?
