Using light frogs and jigs on 1-4oz 7'10ft St Croix with Tranx300?
Those look nice but since I'm a pretty tall guy I can't stand casting rods with butts shorter than 15", I also know a guy who uses the 7'10 Mojo who casts frogs and he casts them pretty far and well.

Using light frogs and jigs on 1-4oz 7'10ft St Croix with Tranx300?
So I've been looking for a bass and snakehead setup recently. I'm going to be using 3/8oz to 1/2oz lures and i'm thinking of getting the Shimano TranX 300 and St. Croix Mojo 7'10ft Heavy 1-4oz and 40lb braid. I'm worried using these 3/8oz and 1/2oz lighter lures wouldn't let me cast further for the bigger bass and snakeheads, I might also use the setup for inshore. I was thinking about a Tranx200 but the line capacity is a bit small. Anyone got any ideas?

Bridge Hooksets?
Mostly it’s the strike king stick worms on a 4/0 EWG hook that I hook on the fish which has pretty sharp hooks. I was running on a 1500 size reel on a smaller 5’7ish rod with 10 Lb mono. I usually don’t get the chance to get them right under the bridge. The bass just jumps out the water spitting my worm

Bridge Hooksets?
So i've recently been fishing a bridge thats about 12-18 feet high in the air, whenever I get a bass, I do a normal up hookset for the lure which ends up either throwing the lure out the water or the bass holds it in its mouth, but I didn't hook the bass properly which lets the bass spit it out easily. Any methods of hookset to ensure the lure doesn't get out of the basses mouth?
- Do bass eat Mayan cichlids? Anyone know?

Bass missing crankbait?
I was throwing the Strike King KVD square bill crankbait. I got at least 5 bass strikes and when I set the hook, the lure just popped out of the water instead of getting the fish. Does anyone know how to actually hook on the fish? My gear is Lews Mach 2 Combo 20 LB Braid with a 1 foot 20 LB Monofilament Leader

Turtle dilemma
So it’s summer here in Florida which means most of the lakes are extremely shallow. The only place that isn’t shallow also holds big bass. But now since it’s summer the turtles come out. Whenever I’m fishing (live bluegill) they try and steal it. Usually they spit it out at me but it would be a real hassle if I catch a giant soft shell snapping turtle. I’ve read somewhere to avoid fishing where turtles. However this is the only spot left that isn’t almost dried up. Do I just try and fish with the turtles or do I find another spot

Florida: What's up with all the Tilapia?
Yes!! These fish are fun to fight, especially spotted tiliapia when you have your drag loose. In my opinion if a tiliapia and bass were the same size, the tiliapia fights harder. Here I don’t recommend eating the fish as the water is nasty. I usually catch them with bread

- 3LB Bass spit me
So I was fishing on a bridge with my spinning reel w 20# braid and the ozark trail rattle lure perch. A good 3LB came and snatched my lure, I set the hook but later it spit it out. Why?- Snag area, what's down there?
yes but beyond that area, is a area with lots of bass lol- Snag area, what's down there?
man ive lost at least over 100$ down there- Snag area, what's down there?
So whenever I fish a bridge in my area. There's this area thats always snagging my lures and bluegill. Is there anyway to prevent this area to snagging my lures and bait. Also is there an explanation on why this part is so snaggy? - 3LB Bass spit me
