  6. I just bought a Bill Dance' Dancin Eel about 2 weeks ago... Chain pickeral LOVE IT... think we caught close to 15 or so ... well lets just say i had to throw the little guy away . We bought another and caught only one bass on it ... does work but its a magnet for those (Chain Pickeral, Northern Pikes, Jack's) whatever you wanna call them SteveL
  7. I might be the only one who hates and despises the chatter bait... if you ever get sick of it you can do what i did. I cut the front chatter metal piece off and used it like a jig. Let me tell you what. It works awsome as a jig ... Call me old fashion but im just not a fan of the chatterbait :/ ... Anyway i have to agree that rod is pure clutch. I hope someday when i have children they will love to fish as much as i do ... SteveL
  8. Im using a pair i bought from wal-mart. They cost me like 14 dollars. They have a 1.1 mm polorized lens with UV protection and they fit nice. They are also moss flaked so they fit my personality with the outdoors ... i believe they are made by strike king. SteveL
  9. Ive used them on a yellow jig head with a mr. twister grub on it.. I put the craw on as a trailer and have had a lot of success with them. They can be jigged, used of the bottom, or just swimming them moderately fast. good stuff imho SteveL

  14. Im curious on how everyone rigs there swim baits. If you buy the plastics (not already rigged) ... ive seen them on the bassmasters show rig them up but it was done so fast i really couldnt tell how they did it. If someone could give me a good example on how to do this i would be very greatful .. SteveL
  15. Ya i just saw that bassmasters myself. I have heard of some people using them here in NC ... im just curious if it is worth my time to try it out. I guess i can't go wrong if i give it a shot .. thanks for the tips on how to use them... How do i rig them up ... i dont wanna have a hook come off like good ol steve kennedy did... :-(
  16. Im curious how many people fish the swim bait. How you choose which type and size. I fish mostley in NC atm but would love any tips on the swim bait. How do you rig the swim bait to be the most useful to you. Thanks in advance. SteveL

  18. I don't know kentucky that well but most rivers are similiar. Read the current and like a previous poster said focus on those eddies. I personally would throw a lipless crank (crawfish RED) in this case. Rattle Traps are my favorite so im a little biast . Good luck to ya SteveL
  19. Ya like they said above. Culling is a key tool used in fishing tourney's. It can actually be a skill in its own, for instance ive had to cull out two 3 lb fish and it was very difficult to do so. I use a Rapala Scale and ive also used the balance beam method. -Steve
