How would you fish it?
Thanks guys. Havent been able to get them to hit a moving bait consistently in awhile, they always seem to be in a funk when i go. I guess my struggle is that i keep hitting tye same spots repeatedly (targets that i can see) and wondering if theres anything else i could do. Ive tried anchoring out amd dragging a worm around looking for drop offs and ledges but its mostly soft bottom with some nasty mud. Understand no electronics and it being smaller lake is likely holding me back.

How would you fish it?
The main lake i fish is a 25 acre county park lake. Earlier in the year it was filling up with grass until it was treated about 2 months ago, no everything but some duckweed has been killed off. So now theres lots of thick dead grass, but its starting to thin out. Started fishing from the kayak about that same time, was fishing from the bank before and could barely cast past the grass it was getting so thick at that point. The fishing was good ealier in the year but the last week has been much tougher. Its also highly pressured. I fish it 1 or 2x / week. The way ive been able to semi consistently catch fish is by soaking a trig 10" worm in shady spots around wood. But today was a grind, rain on friday and sat. Night. been war, mid 80s all week. Lots of rain previous weekend. The lake is high as it can be. Has multpile water inlets where other ponds feed it. What would you look for to fish it? No electronics so other than hitting all the same spots (wood) is there anything i should do differently? Been fishing slower with softplastics. Theres still some duckweed that gets blown around and accumulates in different spots depending on prevailing wind. Theres a fountain on the north end and a set of 3 aerators in the north east corner. The d**n is on the north end and it gets deep quick from the d**n. I tried scouting with google earth for a time when the water was low but no luck. Thanks.

Find fish highland resevoir no electronics
Hi all, long time lurker, got kind of stumped today and need some advice. Just got back into fishing last year and this year purchased a nucanoe f10, so finally off the bank for the first time. Been hitting local small electric only lakes anddoing good. Went fishing this morning at a new lake, lake lincon in troy, mo. This is highland resevoir. Was out early and fished until 4pm. Question i have is how do you find fish in a lake like this? The water for the first 10 feet emenaring from the bank was clear, could see down 6-8 feet then it was murkey and could only see my lure about a foot down. The sides drop off quickly amd it gets deep fast from what i could tell. Theres also wood everywhere, on the bank, submerged etc. And then large rock. Not sure what bottom composition is. Very little vegetation, sparse pockets. Weve had a week solid of rain with this being the first clear day with blue bird skies. I caught a couple on a swim jig and thay was it. Targeted the shade pockets once the sun got high, hit all the cover on shore feom my kayak. How do you find post frontal bass like this without electronics? Normally id hit the grass patches and work them over but that wasnt really am option. Tried a crankbait for a bit ( no deep divers) chatter baits deep and shallow and swim jigs, deep amd shallow, neko rig around some wood, toads and drug a worm around a bit off some points. Thanks, Sean
