Not sure which one's to look at...Today I bought some Pumpkin Seed Lizards and cought a nice 4llb bass on them. Nothing compared to the monster on the Watermelon Senko I cought this thing was the size of my arm in length. Had to be 7llb atleast... Though I rather catch more than that...My buddy cought 6 bass on a popper today and I never have seen anyone catch that many fish to start with.

Ok so don't hook my senko's all the way through?

I just got some regular hooks and no clue who makes the best. So which ones should I be looking at? Also is there some kind of hook that decreases hang-ups. One of the ponds I fish at have lots of vegetation and I have lost 4 Senko's in the past 2 days.
  6. I bought some of this stuff guys and it does exactly what it says it does. It turns invisible in the water I took a small amount of line and took it down to a creek by my house and dropped it in there. You can see it but, you wouldn't see it if you didn't know it was there already. I like this stuff greatly very durable. Now if only Dicks Sporting Goods carried trailer hooks.
  7. Orr road right off Old Concord... Maybe we can hook up and you can show me a few things. Where do you live and I can give you directions from your place to these ponds.
  8. No kidding first cast I landed a 3llb largemouth and 5 min later I caught a smallmouth and then I had the smallmouth in one hand and held him in the water until my buddy came over to look at him and a small brim the size of my hand swam up next to where I was. I thought in my mind "that fish is crazy he sees me here but he isn't afraid" So I let that brim swim about 4 inches away from the bass and then I did what we are now calling a Mr.Miagi. I snatched the brim out of the water LEFT handed at that. I know most people will not believe it and my buddy wouldn't have if he didn't see me do it. =]
  9. Thanks buddy, I bought some watermelon Senko's today! I don't know how to use topwater lures to well so I think I'll stay away from them. As for the Fat Ika bass pro doesn't carry them here.
  10. Hey guys I'm sort of new to fishing and have no clue where to start. I have a few questions that I would like to ask. 1. Spinnerbait does it really matter what brand you buy? I wouldn't think it would a fish can't tell the difference. 2. Do you have any tips for me? Colors/retrieve/best times of day/w/e you can think of that will help. 3. How do I determine where the water is going to be the warmest? 4. If I go fishing for Catfish will underwater lights really do what they are suppost to do? 5. Will trailer hooks really help out? If so where can I get them? Can I make one myself? So here is my info. I will be fishing local ponds around here in Charlotte NC. I bought a new 10bearing reel and a graphite rod, lots of spinnerbait and rubber worms. Most of the ponds have dark water and very little vegetation. The ponds may go at most 20 feet deep and thats pushing my luck. Now I've seen some 7pound large mouths come from one of these ponds and my buddy used spinnerbait so I know they are there. Does anyone have any other lures that they have found to be very consistent with bass? Now here is something off the wall...These ponds have lots of Canadian Geese on them and they are meaner than satan himself. How in the world do you guys rid yourselves of these annoyances. I've kicked them beat them chased them and they only flee to the water and I feel as if it scares the fish away. BTW here is the newbiest question I think you guys will ever hear but how much should I set my drag? I'm using the Red Cajun line thats supposed to be invisible underwater 12pound test.
