What softbaits do you choose to use to fish shallow water? By shallow I mean 1 - 1/2 feet deep. I have been fishing under small shallow bridges and want to know what softbaits you guys would use in this situation. I have been doing ok using weightless GYCB Kut Tail worms and Senkos.

Well I would say some Lizards. Seeing how its under a bridge Lizards are abundant...

Zoom superflukes weightless,

but 1.5 to 2 feet under a bridge, the original rapala is my preference.

Fat Ika, Senko, Laminated Lizard and Slug-Go. If there is lots of grass, the GYCB Kreature is another option I would try.

Bitsy tubes with a 1/16th oz florida rig has worked pretty well.  

There is no bad plastic bait or shallow water - they will all catch fish at some point, either swimming them, crawling them or hopping them.

For imitating a baitfish, a Senko, Super Fluke or Live Magic Shad should all work fine.

Swimming a soft frog like a Cane Toad or Horny Toad should work also.

On the bottom, about any bait crawled along on a light jighead or Texas rig should work.

I would try some sort of a crawfish, tube, or a slug-o.

A very lightly weighted tube or worm, 4" senko instead of the 5" or 6", weightless super fluke, sluggo, trick worm, I'd try forst with smaller baits if the water is fairly clear. Shallow fish tend to be spooky and finicky. A minus-1, shallow shad rap, or other shallow running crank would be a good choice.

under the bridges i like fishing a dark colored wacky style worm ...seems to work for me..give it a try and tell me how it works for ya

I would say probably a senko, soft jerkbait, a worm or a lizard. Any soft plastic weightless would probably work.
