Couldn’t tell difference between my cheaper and more expensive rod….
Just an opinion and sensitivity is extremely subjective as there is no scientific way to measure it that I know of but at $200 plus is where you start to see big differences. And not all rods in that 200 dollar range are equal but that’s just an opinion too. I will probably get bashed on this but of the rods I have fished including meggabass shimano alx diawa falcon in that under 300 dollar price point the shimano expride for its price is the best bang for the buck with the meggabass orochi series a close second but there heavier rods. Nothing wrong with the fury though I have that I use for big swimbaits.

Spinnerbait rod, Need to replace Cabela’s Prodigy
Meggabass levente Diablo spec r is another option it’s a versatile moving bait rod and a zodias mh wouldn’t be a bad choice either.
-
Shimano zodias or dobyns champion
Zodias is tough to beat in that 200 dollar price range don’t own a dobyns champion but have fished a couple. Sensitivity is a subjective thing but to me the zodias rods are better bottom contact rods and there very light weight and crisp blanks. Expride is a great option too not much more than champion in price. 7’ 2” mh expride is one of my favorite rods but I like my zodias also.

Standard Medium-Heavy setup for Frogs
I standard medium heavy expride with 40 lb braid has served me well in open water frogging. When you get into heavy grass and lilies that’s when a heavy or extra heavy rod is needed. For open water light wood cover and vegetation any medium heavy rod with a fast tip will definitely work for frogs and it’s an extremely versatile rod.

Hammer Rods
Thanks for the info I usually stick to shimano and meggabass for rods but I think I am going to try one of these out

My Big Five Outfits (OK, maybe six)
Expride 7’ 2” mh graphite t rigs jigs swim baits up to 1/2 oz Expride 7’ 2” mh graphite glass composite chatterbaits and large square bills 10 foot and less crankbaits Expride 7’ 6” heavy flipping pitching 1/2 oz larger jigs and plastics frogs 6” inch mag drafts Zodias 6’ 10” medium top waters jerkbaits small square bills crank baits Diablo spec r spinnerbaits buzzbaits medium size square bills smaller swim baits Expride 7’ medium spinning shaky head drop shot light baits in general

Jig Rod Approx. 250$ budget
Expride excels at those baits 7’ 2’ mh great quality, blank, sensitivity, etc but if the handle does not fit your liking that want work. Meggabass brailist or perfect pitch which has shorter 14.5 handle in levente might be two options to consider. Orochi would be above budget but levente would be below. I have two levente rods that I use for moving baits so can’t comment on bottom contact use. Nice rods those and zodias are great in 200 dollar range.

Hammer Rods
I am interested in hammer rods what’s everyone experience with there rods related to quality, action I have heard there moderate like falcons and run one power lighter than rated and general impressions. Interested in the 6’ 9” heavy for walking baits I am trying to find a rod to throw super spooks that weigh 1 ounce with a fast tip moderate action that will keep them pinned that’s 7 foot or less and is light weight. Not seeing a lot of rods out there that meet that criteria.
