Weedless jig head
Anybody use 1/16 or 3/32 weedless tube jigs with a 1/0 hook? I have only found one source that reasonably priced but they have been out of stock for sometime

Shimano Curado Glass Cranking Rod
I have a spinning rod made by Powell for cranks. It’s a medium power, moderate fast action. I can sling small #4 shad raps up to larger lures. The rod keeps fish pinned great. It’s a glass composite rod and really light.

New spinning rod suggestions
I’d prefer to stay under $400. I have a couple older SC premier and avids and a real old g loomis imx UL for reference. I have a few 2500/3000 steadics and vanfords and generally run 15 or 20 # smackdown. I’m not familiar with Daiwa or megabass rods since they aren’t stocked in my local store. Which mega bass is a good choice in the $400 usd range?

New spinning rod suggestions
I am in the market for a new spinning rod. Budget is around $350 -$400. This will be for river smallmouth lures weights 1/8 - 1/2 ounce range but most 3/8 lures on the high end. Mainly looking for an all purpose plastics/jerk/spinner bait rod 6’6” - 7’ range Any suggestions would be appreciated!

River smallie crank bait/ jerk bait set up suggestions
I would like to keep the rod cost around $200 or so. I’m probably in a bind ilon options though. I am probably in the minority and actually prefer 6 foot rods for jerk baits. I find that length easier to fish when I am fishing the jerks aggressively and don’t have to worry about the rod tip hitting the water. The eagle claw yellow rod looks funny but man I can’t tell you how many smallies I put in the boat in the 90’s ripping rattling rogues in the current.

River smallie crank bait/ jerk bait set up suggestions
I didn’t do a good job describing the details. I’d like a rod I could throw 1/8, 1/4 on the low side weight wise with the occasional 3/8 and 1/2 oz jerk crank

River smallie crank bait/ jerk bait set up suggestions
Good afternoon I am slowly coming out of a 15 hiatus from fishing due to raising a family. I am in the process of updating my fishing gear too and quite honestly overwhelmed at the options. I fish for smallies in rivers and normal depths run 6 foot or less with some deeper pools. I am a spinning guy but have an older shimano curado 100 baitcaster that worked great in the mid 90’s and still might for small jerks and cranks. Honestly, though I have a mid 90’s shimano spinning reel, one of the quick fire models mounted on an old school eagle claw fiberglass rod that works great for cranks and jerks. any recommendations on some updated and modern rods and reels for cranks and jerks up to 1/2 oz would be appreciated thanks

Stupid tube jig help.
I have never used the stupid tube method but started experimenting with rigging in the past couple of weeks. one issue I’m having is trying to stupid tube rig a 2 1/2 inch tube. The hooks I’ve tried are too long. any body got a link to a jig that’ll work for 2 1/2 tubes? many thanks

Spinning rod suggestions for jerk baits and Crankbaits
I just remembered I have an older falcon medium light casting rod with an old Shimano curado 100 reel that I loaned to my cousin about 15 years ago and forgot all about it. I’ll get that back from him first and give it a whirl.

Spinning rod suggestions for jerk baits and Crankbaits
Hey all. I’m in the market for a spinning rod. I’d prefer one for both jerks and cranks but willing to buy a good rod for each application. I only for for river smallmouth and occasionally walleye in VA. Most lures are under 1/2oz, with 1/4 and 3/8 oz being the most common weight. any suggestions would be appreciated.
