  1. I was browsing Ebay after a few cocktails and I guess bought a knock of whopper plopper late one night for $3. To my surprise it showed up and looked decent. Hooks weren't great so I replaced them and took it out for a spin. To my surprise it performed better than the original in regard to grass getting caught into the middle section. There is a tiny washer in there over the connector wire and it seems to keep stuff out much better and makes removing much easier. The action seems to be better as well. Most importantly it caught fish in fact the largest I've landed this year so far. Now I'm not at all for stealing tech but I will say R2S should look at this knock off and the subtle mods and adjust their design. For $16 dollars a $3 version should not outperform, or even perform in the same neighborhood IMO. I have 2 whoppers that don't swim the same because of the debris caught in the spinner that I can't get out. Unless R2S improves I will be buying more of the cheapos out of necessity. I've used it for a week now without issue.
  2. I agree although I've not purchased rods solely on them being too brightly painted for my tastes.
