  7. yeah i think my scale is wack!!! it also said this one, my PB was 4.1 maybe it is right but it sure seemed like more to me.
  8. went out for a bit this evening. i managed two fish, both on a 3/8 oz black cavitron buzzbait. one was a dink and the other was this one. it went 2.14 on my crappy scale. this thing was like a ninja!! barely even caused a disturbance on the surface when it hit. put up a great fight, was fun!! sorry for the crappy pic, dont know why, my camera usually does pretty well.
  9. currently i have 6' MH custom built for me buy Ronnie(alpster)/Revo S-L 6'6" H Custom built for me by me, with keith's(flechero) help/Daiwa procaster-z thats it for now. next set up will probably be a spinning rod/reel(Med x-fast) or a crankin rod/reel. Cliff

very windy, t-storms all last night and rain all day, but we went out anyway. we managed 4 total, two on worms, one on live magic shad and one on a buzzbait, which was the biggest one, it went 2.4. was caught on a 3/8 black cavitron buzzbait. i missed it twice and got it on the third try! ;D by the way, that is my super sweet free abu garcia jacket from that offer they had going around x-mas time!! it kept the rain and wind out pretty good. thanks Cliff
  11. mine was going to buy me a small boat with trolling motor, but now it looks as though my wifes car is in need of some repairs. but that shouldnt be too much(cross fingers) with any luck i may still pull off the boat thing, if not i will probably get a new spinning reel and build a rod for it. Cliff
  12. i had my hair like that for a long time in highschool, but it was about twice as long...lookin good!!! ;D
  13. abu garcia revo S, $100 and smooth as silk
  14. thanks, that little bridge you see in the background leads to a small island, maybe 15 feet round. this tank is tiny, from that island i can literally cast onto the shore on the opposite side in all directions. it dosent hold alot of fish but usually decent sized ones. my PB came from that tank(my avatar pic). Cliff
  15. thanks RW, i am hoping for one day outing and one night outing, but it really all depends on my old friend and his schedule. i plan to fly my rod and reel with me but will buy the baits in NY thanks Cliff

  19. i am making my annual trip to NY in june to visit my folks. i plan to fish a day or two on Cayuga Lake(finger lakes) for smallies. i fished here a bunch when i was in high school, we did ok, caught a ton of bass, perch, blue gills, and rock bass. can anyone give me any advice on what might be good baits this time of year to catch some smallies? i remember using alot or original rapalas and inline spinners, but we didnt catch alot of big fish. i remember the lake being very very clear and quite deep with a rocky bottom. any help is much appreciated, i dont usually go back to NY in the summer time, so i want to make this a good trip. thanks Cliff
