I picked up a Lew’s pro sp 8:31 to use to flip and try punching. Is anyone else using this reel for the same technique?

anyone using this rod ? I like the fact that it has a parabolic action.

My order came from plat , I gave them a heads up on what I was charged and they asked me to look into what happened,I spoke to a woman and customer service at DHL and she told me I have to wait until the package is delivered before I could dispute the fee so it will post back with what I find.

Since to a federal judge, this is an illegal act. It is now in the courts in the process of litigation to reinstate this exemption which I’m hoping that’s the case cause these prices are not even reasonable during insane. Just to give example if you order a $20 item from Japan and they ship it to USPS they charge you $80.

There is no regulation on this so the big three carriers UPS FedEx and DHL are going to charge what they want 100% markup on what should be 15% you’re getting screwed no more buying anything from Japan until they get rid of these tariffs

It wouldn’t be bad if it actually was 15% of the actual value in my case, it was 100% that’s ridiculous

I just purchased SLP knobs from plat that cost 30.00, I was hit with a 33.00 charge from DHL. Which is ridiculous

Just a heads up if you are buying products from other countries, there use to be no fees on products under 800.as of august 29 you will be charged a 15% of the products value

Why are these dealers using the same exact photo of the product across 3 different sellers, then when you ask why they’re using those same photos, they get offended and block you it doesn’t make sense. You’re just trying to verify what condition the product is in.

The reel is daiwa steam custom which only has 4 lbs of drag Iam assuming, I’m wondering if I took the carbon washer out of the Daiwa Alphas sv tw which has 7lbs and put it into this reel if it will increase it to 7

I have a reel with 4lb of drag pressure if I add a second drag washer from a reel rated at 7lbs, will this effectively increase the pounds of pressure?

And this was on a lews without the p2 pinion ? Or with?

With lews the pinion is only supported on 1 side with a ball bearing the other side that goes into the spool is a metal bushing.

Does the gen 2 have aluminum sideplate s like the gen 1? Trying to decide which one to get, I like the old frame design and the only upgrade to the gen 2 model is the p2 pinion gear.

Does anyone really feel the difference? Iam looking at buying a hypermag gen 1 that doesn’t have this feature, but I like the frame better than the new model.

Iam planning on getting a lews pro sp reel for pitching from shore. 8.31 or 7.5:1? I’m thinking of going with the 7.51 for more power over the 8.3:1. Thoughts?
