  1. Like @Jig Man mentioned giving a spook a straight popping motion will work it sort of like a jerk bait. I typically use Heddon Spooks
  2. I have 40 feet of rope with a large magnet I salvaged from the bottom of a lake tied to it. It is heavy enough to keep my kayak in place when windy or high current
  3. Bandito Bugs (slowly drag about 1’ off bottom) Wacky Rig (slow jumps) I’ve also found the Berkley Gulp! Artificial Worms (in a little can container) work great in winter or cold water situations. I’m from Fauquier County VA but have fished all over VA.
  4. Hi, I was wondering if the temperature of the water can vary which bait to throw. Sometimes when it's hot the bass near me only bite certain baits, the same during mild or cold weather. Thanks, gone_fishin48

  6. Hi, I recently bought a fishing kayak and went out on the water to see what I could get. I was tormented the whole time by larger bass surfacing and jumping around me. They love to stay down deeper when it's hot outside, so I'm wondering which jigs are appropriate for fishing along the bottom for bigger bass. Thanks, gone_fishin48
