  1. Omnia pro here too just tried an order no free shipping? Emailed them I'll see what they say. Otherwise not again. Never made a year without them changing something on your membership
  2. Wife got this one from shore on the 21 November
  3. Out last Saturday wife and I got 9 bass all 19 to 21 inches. 1 pike 35 inches a nice one. Mostly on spinner baits. Wife got a couple on Wacky. With that the next day we went to a favorite lake drove around enjoyed the fall colors and went home and winterized the boat. This weekend plan on fishing the river in Monticello from shore for smallmouths. Looks like a a good weekend for it after that the days look miserable. We keep a diary/log every year starting on opener for bass together we caught 1549 bass 141 pike. Funny thing we were only on the boat 74 times this year usually average 125 trips per season. over 1000 were on wacky. Thanks for all the info and I'm not done yet I know it's not a bass but a great ending to the season
  4. Saturday did a bit better chatter bait and jig and a pig 14 bass 1 30 inch pike all in less than 2 FOW. 62 degree water temp. Days are numbered as well probably put boat away Halloween week. When water temps get to mid 50's bass for me are usually tucked in for winter.
  5. I don't know how to quote but as Tennessee boy alluded to fully agree the more you mess with FFS the less you fish. After the first trip caught nothing then started to fish. Staring at a screen all day is not fishing. Well said Tennessee boy
  6. I currently have a new Crestliner Kodiak boat Minnkota spot lock and have FFS. I live in central MN weedy lakes not much structure. Will FFS catch more bass for me not really. I bought it first for ice fishing for me it shines here the most for me. I even took a class for FFS it did help some. For me hit the weed line or start at the banks. When I do find bass deep 20 FOW or deeper won't fish them not going to kill fish just because I saw them on the scope. I do like the pole because you can turn it to tell were the weed edge is better ahead of you etc. FFS learned a lot with it deal breaker no in different structures can see it would be great. I put it down every time go out mostly because paid enough for it and feel obligated to get my money out of it. Spot lock to me first time ever used it it was an ah hah moment. If all I had was a 10 foot jon boat and it had spot lock that would be heaven. Have fished from 10 horse boats all the way up to my current one. Mostly my wife and I had a scare of me almost falling out my equilibrium is not the best we wanted something a little sturdier and a console not used to that from a tiller but getting better. This was a really good post. Thanks
  7. Rough weekend. Friday got 3 pike on spinnerbaits. Sunday wind was horrid got 1 bass and 1 pike. Even attempted trolling a crank haven't trolled in years. White caps not fun. Saturday we shore fished got zero. Weather looks good but putting the boat away end of the month. Got a new boat in July and just don't want to put it away.
  8. Completely blanked today on bass not one fish tried it all. 73 degree temp. Just can't get anything lately. Wind tomorrow wont help 20MPH south wind ouch.
  9. Yesterday was dodge the rain storms about 5 minutes then sunny then rain and the strong NW wind didnt help. Due to the wind on a lake that has bass but not huge numbers out 5 hours wife and I got 15 bass 4 pike. All in less than 3 FOW lake has little vegetation 65 Water temp. Texas rig and Jig and and a craw. They wouldn't touch a spinner bait. Was really surprised the water temp was that low already. Going to try today very calm this morning.
  10. Nice fish Gim!
  11. Weekend was hot and hazy. Wife and I did ok 2 different lakes. All in the slop using Texas rigs with craw or swim baits. For some reason assuming all the rain have not had a good Ned bite or weedline bite. NICE fish pics on here.
  12. Nothing I don't eat fish. The thrill of the hunt.
  13. Hee Hee, MN Fisher I get it but the above lures for me are for bass! I really don't care to catch panfish. Those Rapala 04 X Raps are killer early.
  14. Amen Gim a watched float only goes so far with this guy
  15. GIM and all been calling sending to all polititain to pass the bass bill. One must do there part to get this passed. Just saw it a few minutes ago figured you would be on it. Can't wait for next year to use more jerkbaits and early year techniques.thanks for keeping us up to date As Waska has said as well. It will be fun to get those extra few weeks to start and hone new skills jerkbaits, small jigs etc. Being from Minnesota it really probably only gains 4 to 6 weeks extra but sometimes the spawn starts early. I'm just giddy today don't mind panfish some but game on now to use all the info like real bassers in other parts of the states
  16. That's great news for MN never understood why not not many would target them that early. Most bass guys release anyway. Been on the boat a few times in central MN no luck yet only 42 degree water temp. Hey Gim maybe you recognize my user name great to hear from you! will keep posted this season.
  17. I'm very lucky for many years fished alone a lot. My wife only came when she was off work we worked opposite shifts for years. I didn't mind fishing alone but it got long and boring some sometimes. My wife had a job change and now we have 3 day weekends together this whole summer I never fished alone once. Except for maybe wanting to try a new method out alone it has been great she can do anything fishing except back the trailer in. I'm a lucky guy. However I can't stand to fish with anyone else especially adults. It's like you need to perform and just throw the lure out and bam a fish. No Thanks. I do enjoy kids though have helped with fishing clinics that kind of stuff it's rewarding. Starting to have some balance issues so it's nice with her in the boat. I'm only 51 she's older 56 and I must admit it's nice having her help.
