  1. Big 🪿🥚 yesterday.
  2. Pretty popular spot with dog walkers and hikers so DEM is there often enough to make sure folks are wearing orange.I tend to avoid the trout ponds the first couple of weeks after opening day...gets to crowded for my liking. Actually just about to head out the door and hopefully get a little action.
  3. I was out for a walk yesterday in one of RI's management areas that has several ponds of varying sizes and was quite surprised to see no ice at all considering the Winter we've been having, granted we had a few days of warm weather but it still surprised me. As my post in the intro forums says I've been fishing the salt most of my life but am making a return to freshwater as I'm winding down and not getting any younger. That being said today is fairly warm though breezy so I think I'm going for a little hike and hit up some of these ponds and see if I can't scare up a bass or two.

  7. Been surf fishing the salt for 50+ years but as of late I've had to make some lifestyle adjustments and have been doing a lot of walking/light hiking that has brought me by many ponds and creeks which has rekindled my interest in freshwater fishing which I haven't done since my early 20s. Just made the investment in a St.Croix Triumph 6'6" ML spinning rod and hung a Shimano Sedona 2500 on it.Much like many things in life no one tool can do everything but this will be a good start for the types/areas I'll be fishing. Patiently waiting for Spring.
