  4. I catch around 40 a year.I only get out on the weekends and i'm limited to shore fishing. No boat.Might be less than that this year,my girl found a new job and it requires her to work every other weekend sat. and sun. So,looks like i'll be taking my kid out with me more often.kinda hard to fish when you watching and helping a 3 year old.Should be fun though, can't wait to get my boy out on the water with me.
  5. I've dealt my share of idiots with dogs in TX.I don't seem to have the problem up here in the north. :-? My mom use to get so sick of dogs coming on the yard that she went to animal control center and they gave her a cage to set out side. The total animals she caught was something like over 200+ cats and 140+ dogs in that cage in a 1 year span..Every time she took em' back to the animal control...they knew my mom by name. The saddest thing they told her she catches more cats and dogs than some of the guys who do this as a job. They wonder why my mom moved out of oak cliff.Just horrible....
  6. http://www.jascouniform.com/ecom/showdetl.cfm?Product_ID=16976pt1000&code=588&srccd=pt1000 used for cutting cast off at hospitals.Works wonders on everything! braid, mono, fluoro, trimming weed guards and trimming skirts off jigs, spinnerbaits ect, ect.
  7. welcome to the world of fluorocarbon...I can't manage it myself half the time. Now there are certain brands that will fly off the spool less, but most of the time i strip one or 2 feet to get the loops out.So i use it with mainly jigs or T-rigs as it's a good idea to pull out a little line for a vertical fall. Don't have that problem with mono. I'm sure my minor backlashes aren't just the fluoro it's on my part as well. ;D
  8. sam adam's cherry wheat was my favorite for the longest time. i'll drink anything but keystone.
  9. Man,that looks brutal...I really do miss the south this time of the year.
  10. Muddy,i'm in the same boat as you. However fast you are wanting this scale, try to save some money and get a decent one like i plan to do.I'm looking into something like the boga grip(small one, reads up to 15#).I just have a feeling if i resort to a cheap scale it won't last long.Plus i just hate the hook scale ones,i perfer the lip grips. I just believe if i wait a little longer and get something really nice i'll benefit from the wait.
  11. I tend to favor online retailers the most. Honestly i don't have any problems with local stores,BPS or cabela's.Usually when i do go to big retailer stores i try to make it a day.I can't seem to walk in and out of the place so easy.
  12. What is hot pockets(microwavable food) really made up of?
  13. Going to disagree with you there Dave. Wacky rigging was a big producer for my son, wife, and myself this year from shore. All our biggest fish except one came from Wacky riggin. Either hopping it or even jerking it all the way back to shore. Give it a try if you haven't yet. Especially jerking it wacky. 80% of every shore fishermen here uses the drop shot method(works well!).Wacky rig for me worked well also.Like davis i use jerks with long pauses.I don't have a boat so i'm well limited to shore.
  14. "You got served" Pwn is a slang term that implies domination or humiliation of a rival, used primarily in the Internet gaming culture to taunt an opponent that has just been soundly defeated. Past tense is sometimes spelled pwnt (pronounced with a t sound) or pwned (with the standard d sound). Examples include "pwnage" or "you just got pwned". It can also be used, especially by non-gamers, in the context of getting "pwned" by The Man. It is also a variant of the expression "you got served" which is also used to describe someone or something that has either lost badly or been humiliated (or possibly both). In Internet security jargon, to "pwn" means "to compromise" or "to control", specifically another computer (server or PC), web site, gateway device, or application; it is synonymous with one of the definitions of hacking. An outside party who has "owned" or "pwned" a system has obtained unauthorized administrative control of the system.

Just recently i started putting everything together the night before i go if it's a planned trip.I remember driving out 30-45 minutes to a lake only to forget my bags of plastic at home.I ended up cussing myself all the way back home.
