  1. Green Bay.... I think this will be a good game and whoever wins on top will probably be going up against NE for the Superbowl.Unless we have upsets like college football been having lately.
  2. Baitmonkey, convince my girl why i need a shimano core baitcaster.

Good choice....got me wanting to try a pack now.
  4. Your percentage score for the left brain is 52%. Your percentage score for the right brain is 48%. 8-)
  5. This is good to hear....i don't have a swimbait rod. Looks like after christmas this will be on my list of things i gotta get.
  6. I don't believe the cat story,if that was me i'd call the cops.No way is a cat legal as bait.
  7. They are on sale right now.
  8. That sucks man, just shop elsewhere. There's plenty of good online stores. I haven't order anything from BPS in awhile, then again i'm spoiled by good deals elsewhere. I don't have any problems with them, but that switch in the combo is a bad,bad idea. Not good that word is floating around out there like that.I hope it hurts them....that's just wrong what they are doing.I got enough other sport and fishing stores to keep me happy if i ever get ticked off by BPS.There's alot of competition around here that BPS is careful of losing customers here.
  9. I'd rather use lures...seems like they would last longer.Probably cheaper as well.
  10. It's amazing stuff ain't it? The cost doesn't seem so bad now does it? For shore anglers like myself they work like a structure finder, helps me figure out what's on that bottom.
  11. Are they really worth the $200+ price tag?
  12. Yeah i use moderate action. Thanks to RW and his explainatation on rod powers. I love my 6' falcon cara moderate action rod. This is a good treble lure rod.
  13. Sorry, but that would be plain funny.... ;D
  14. It did for me...i didn't even get the chance to go to lake erie and saint clair lake i wanted to go so bad to this year.I'm gonna have to plan it next year.I don't see the gas prices dropping anytime soon.
  15. Try to find a map of your lake and find the deep drop offs from the bank. That would be my best guess to do. Also if you have dams try there as well.If they let out warmer water you can bet there's gonna be a few fish hanging around. I have pretty much all my stuff put up except one rod...last year i caught a nice bass right next to the ford plant heating dam.So tomorrow i'm gonna head out there and see if i have the same luck as last year.If i do then that means i figured out where some of those bass go during the winter.Hardest part is getting them to bite.
  16. I think i just found my first loomis rod i want now... :-/ Now comes the challenge of saving up $125 before spring...
  17. I sleep with mine everynight... my girl doesn't mind... No i'm not talking about my girl...it's usually when she gets up to go to work,he hops on the bed and takes over her spot.
  18. Thanks LBH.Checking that one out as well now.
  19. http://www.exo-pro.com/ Anybody know about these? Thought about getting one for those fall fishing and if i decide to get out and try for some walleye fishing in detroit river during the cold months. Thought they might help...wonder if they have something in gloves like that.My face and hands suffer the most.
  20. That's scary considering Texas has quite a few cottonmouths in the water.I've seen them firsthand myself. They are very aggressive as well...I won't wade the waters in Texas.Call me chicken,i know they are in those waters. What's even more scary is the most dangerous spider is the one you'll never see...the brown recluse.I know a few people who's been bitten by them.
  21. A square...best pop-up,malware,spyware blocker and detector there is...even better it's free. just make sure you update it everyday..i've been using it for over an year and absolutely love it... I use AVG(free version) for my computer viruses....doesn't really work for spyware.
  22. Wow,i didn't have a problem returning my clarus MH once(no receipt and i didn't even buy it from that store)...only problem was they had to try and find another rod for the same specs. which they didn't have in stock yet. So they just gave me credit.I believe i ended up getting another clarus with a higher power rating.Ended up spending more than my credit was worth. ;D Maybe it was just the store i was dealing with...i have no problems with cabelas or Bass pro shops customer service. The only horror storys i hear are online purchases.
  23. I always seem to get more bites with fluorocarbon in clearer water.I don't use braid unless i'm fishing topwater inline spinners.Braid line is easy to pull the lure right out of the fish mouth.I want a little stretch in my line for what type of fishing i do.Even the with braid i always now use a fluorocarbon leader. In stain water i don't think it matters much, but for some reason i like green mono line.
  24. I go with Cabelas as well, both make decent rods, but cabela has the better higher end rods. Shimano has some good rods as well in that price range with the warranty.
  25. I'm inexperience to at least say on topwater lures...how do you guys work the jitterbug? A slow steady retrieve?
