Wanna know how i'm preventing it from getting to me? Eating raw garlic and onions and putting it in everything i eat. Eat some chicken noodle soup with chopped up really fine garlic cloves and i'll bet that throat and nose will be cleared up or feeling much, much better.

Need advice for a friend
I'd go with Raul's suggestion. Or you can go to ebay and get one for around that price helping him get it if he doesn't have a computer and ebay account.

A very close call?
Uggg! you too? My story involves some guy ticked off at somebody standing at a corner.I went to look his way to see if any cars were coming so i could drive down the road. When i looked the opposite way the guy ran over to my window banging on my window saying "What the F are you looking at i'll kick your A,blah, blah, blah". I was like "move i ain't looking at you, trying to see if any cars are coming dummy" and drove away. This guy insist on running after my car. ;D The dude was shirtless in 30 degree temps up here.he was either drunk or stoned and very ticked off at somebody and decided to pick on me instead.I didn't even know who the guy was! I really wanted to get out of the car and beat the living crap out of him...instead i just called the cops when i got to work.I was really concerned if some kids came by him and he took it out on them. That really scared me. Something about the day after christmas makes people do the stupidest things.

WaveCast spinning reel..anyone heard of this???
Yeah heard of it.First advertised on the michigan website,as time went by more and more reviews came in "unimpressed" with the reel.I don't have one so i can't really comment on it. It was suppose to be better and casting farther...Nobody could notice the difference. I just can't bring myself to get one.

question about spinning reels?
Yep,just a little less line.I use 14#-15# in mono and fluorocarbon line on baitcasters. Then again i don't need to cast clear across the lake...just far enough to land in structure where fish might be. Nope it shouldn't effect the reel.Least it hasn't for me.I do however try to match the rod for whatever i'm using. If the rod specs say 8-17 pounds i try to stay within that limit. Like tin2win said,if you use braided line like fireline, power pro 30# test is actually only 8# test diameter size as mono or fluoro.Personally i like braid on my spinning reels with a fluorocarbon leader. You get more line on spool with a higher pound braid than you would with mono or fluorocarbon lines.

Oil business must be doing well. :)
That actually makes me mad..... :-X

question about spinning reels?
All those numbers are is the amount of line that spool can hold. Say it says 120 yards/8# test...which means that spool will hold 120 yards of 8# test line...so the higher up the pound on line the less line you will fill the spool with.Look on the box of the diameter of the line on different brands and you'll notice some diameters are smaller and larger than others. That also plays a role on how much line you can get on a reel. The higher up in line test the less line you will get on a spool. Also i have a crappie spinning reel which is really small,no way would i put anything over #6 on it...i couldn't get but many 30 yards if i doubled that test line.

How do LMB get into creeks?
There was this one lake in TX before it got contaminated with toxic waste from a military plant there was this small creek where crayfish, minnows and occasionally a bluegill and small bass were found swimming there. Since it got shut down all the creeks dried up.I used to live 5 minutes walking distance from that creek behind a school.I used to fish for those crayfish with a string tied up with some bacon. Those crayfish were hugh!. Now they don't even want people swimming in that lake anymore. When i was littler i had this oscar that i let go in that lake.Very idiot dumb move on my part...i was young. To this day i wonder if that fish ever survived.

What the heck happened???
Merry Christmas JT bagwell! 8-) Double goes for everybody here!

Imakatsu Hairy Hawg
Come to think about it...it does look like a bluegill/crappie bait.I've seen some like that but much, much smaller profile. Man the bluegills here would tear that thing up as well.I've lost countless of powerworms and creature tails from bluegills. However they do shy away from jigs alot,i'd use that as a jig trailer.Gonna guess the bulk size of jigs is what scares them off.Not all of them fear the jig though.

Rods and Reels for winter
Take off all line on reels, loose drag and tension spool down low and put em back in the boxes. Rods go on my rack on my wall straight up down. Only thing i don't put away is my spinning reel, just incase i have one of those odd winters where he get a warm front for a week or two.
