  1. My bro not sure if this helps or not but I grew up fishing out of old b bottom aluminum boats and old Evinrude’s some I’m sure older then me at the time and I was a scrappy 16 year old with a mullet cut lol but they ran good my bro
  2. My bro beware I grew up bass fishing got married at 21 then asked my new bride for the next 44 years, want to go fishing at my bros private lake he has a dock he lives a 1/2 mile away…. No I don’t like fishing but bring home some bass for dinner please ok love, then 3 years ago I asked her what do you want for your birthday love? she said my own custom built fishing rod, so since I just learned how to build them 1 yr prior I said ok, I built her a custom built shiner fishing rod and bought her a Abu Garcia REV02 SC40 red colored reel to match her guide wrap colors since she’s a Hoosier girl. then took her fishing to show her how it’s done, but i grew up using rubber worms, but now it’s a bobbers and shiners. 1 year later using a Johnson silver spoon I landed the lake record largemouth bass weighing 7pounds 7 ozs I called her and said who’s the lake bass master babe, her answer you are for now honey…. But the weekend coming up! Yep you guessed it that sat 4 days later at the dock she started by catching 6 largemouth bass and me nothing, and I was using a bluegill in the Lilly pads to boot, then as I was bringing in my first catch of the day, I hear honey help I got a monster size fish, I said yea yea hold on I turn around my bro she landed and on her own the new lake record largemouth bass @ 8 pounds 9 oz she said ok defeated lake bass master take a video as proof, I did and included her 6 other bass only to her her say, Dan these bass are to beautiful to eat anymore so release them so our grand daughters can catch them later on. I did since I’m a smart man lol and yes 1 month later my 7 yr old granddaughter caught her first bass on her own custom built rod on my bro’s dock, weighed in at 2.5 pounds and I got the video for her to brag on. my bro sold the lake house that next year and my wife still the lake Bass Master, so I took up fishing for channel cats thinking she would not want to fish for these things, lol but she is just as good as catching bass, but she does not go bank fishing with me now days too many bugs… Good maybe I can earn a new title that I can hold to. so be aware my bro wives are also good or better at fishing then we guys, and as of this year, married to same lady 47 years and loving it lol Dan
