Spinner bait blade choices
I agree with this! I should have been more clear as to what I was asking in my original post. Which blade manufacture or tackle company (Barlow's, lure parts, custom, etc.) do you guys who build baits recommend using to a new recreational bait builder? I want quality but also need several dozen of each blade and prefer to keep the price somewhat reasonable if possible.

Do you scuff your worms?
I watched a video a while back of Randy Blaukat doing this with zoom plastics. Of course after watching the video I had to try it a few times. With salted plastics it does give it a different texture but I personally did not notice any difference presentation wise.

7 inch Bass assassin Shad vs Zoom magnum 7 fluke
Gama 6/0 EWG is what I like...I've got several packs of both brands. I am a little partial to Bass Assassin as I was partnered with them in the past and it's an awesome small family ran business. Z-man also has a 7''....another good one.

Countdown begins...
It was a very cool bait to win a tournament on... I guess the hardest part for be to believe is the fact he tied on a curly tail grub vs something else with all the bait choices out there. I've used them for years for speckled trout and as jig/spinnerbait trailers...but for me, with all the new fancy baits, it's hard to tie something so basic on now a days. Maybe that's my problem! I promise you there will be quite a few tied on and dancing in front of FFS after Hank's victory.

Spinner bait blade choices
Greetings from Eastern NC! Glad to be apart of this great bass community! I got a wild hair the other day and proceeded to purchase well over 100 spinnerbait forms from a gentleman who was getting rid of some old stock he had. I bought some 3/8th small frame and standard frames along with several other sizes. My plan for the small frames are obviously to make some finesse baits for the coastal tidal rivers I enjoy fishing. I am obviously new to spinnerbait building...and now have a pile of spinnerbaits to build. I have done some reading and tube watching however am torn on blades. I am aware Hildebrandt blades are excellent blades and I plan on grabbing some however, would also like to purchase some more budget friendly blades to play around with. Please share your favorite blades (willow and colorado) and where you typically purchase them from if you don't mind! Feel free to provide any other tips as I proceed to climb down another rabbit hole! Thanks in advance!

Have you ever counted your lures?
This thread tickled me when I first read it....standing out in the cold garage the other day I decided to count 4-5 boxes of topwater's on the shelf. After surpassing 150 in topwater alone, I hung it up. This did not include the 20 plus topwater's hanging on the peg board NIB neither. I just received over 100 spinnerbaits in the mail alone....yes I have a problem but it could be worse!
