How deep for top waters
You've been fishing Lanier. It's true bass will come out of deep water to get a topwater. Spotted bass are more likely to do it than largemouth but I can be done. If you find some susspended bass over a deep hump or brushpile it never hurts to give a topwater lure a try. ( Lost of action, splash and noise.) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

How deep for top waters
I've thrown a top water across a brush pile in 20,30 and 40 feet of water and had tremendous sucess for spotted bass. I really don't think there is a limit on how deep you can fish it.

Spot Removers
It's basically a shaky head jig.... But the bait is designed to stand straight up. Search spot remover on google image to get an idea of what it's about. It's a great jig. I've caught a many spotted bass and LM's with it....

My new boat!
I finally got IT!!!! I've been looking for months, and finally found something in my price, year and model range. I just went and picked it up today, it's a 2001 Champion 203 SC w/ a 225 Mercury OptiMax... It's 20' 3" and a fishin' machine! I also picked up some new Lowrance electronics for it, a LCX-28c HD,... Now I just have to find the time to put it on This boat will FLY.... If anyone is ever down in GA or AL, hit me up... we'll go fishin' !!!!!!!!!

Fluke Trouble
Do you have it rigged right? What kind of hook are you using? I like to use a Gamakatsu EWG 3/0 hook, with the original big ZOOM super fluke. Make sure you have the eye of the hook in the fluke... That has always seemed to give it a better action, IMO.

Lets talk about Spotted Bass
Yep, Spot Removers, and Spot Stickers are great for spotted bass. My biggest is 5.3 lbs.... They fight so hard, That's another thing I love about them.

Lets talk about Spotted Bass
Anyone fish for them regularly? I mainly fish Lanier which said to be one of the best spotted bass fisheries in the country. For all of y'all that like to fish for spots, what's your favorite technique or favorite lures? Personally, I like fishing docks in March,April, and May. Fishing these docks has always produced tremendous ammounts of wieghts for me. Usually with finesse jigs and flippin jigs for the big bites. Also fishing deep stucture and deep cranking are some of my other favorites....

Wholesale Soft Plastics???
Do any of y'all buy your plastics in huge lots? There's got to be some way to buy several packages, but I'm not finding anything on-line. Any suggestions. I'd like to buy a lot of ZOOM plastics, etc.... I'm talking specifics, like, being able to order what you want, not a bunch of unwanted packs off ebay.

Creating your own cover in a lake
I use PVC Pipe.... Usually I can make a 6,7,8ft tall tree with several "branches" for free. Going around construction sites and offering to clean up all the left over or excess PVC... Sometime I have to buy the larger "trunk" of the tree... which is usally pretty cheap. I use a 5 gal. bucket with cement to weigh it down.... It holds fish to say the least..... ;D

Rollin Runner???
Looks kind of like a "fish head spin" IMO. I'll usually fish it with a Fluke or a grub, but I prefer the fluke....

North Georgia Bass Clubs
Anyone on here in a club in NE Geargia.... Mainly around the Lanier area... If so, could you give me some info about the club, and website/phone number....? Thanks

Fish finders and GPS
Thats 38 is a TV Screen if you like that kind of stuff!!! ;D ;D If I had the money I would have got the 38 over the 28

Fish finders and GPS
I fished with someone who had a SI Humminbird, I didn't really care for it... Too hard to pick out the fish IMO.... However the LCX-28c HD is Awesome! IMO, it's the best GPS, sonar, fish finder around for $1,000

Livewell issues
If that triton is brand new, you've got a darn good livewell. However, this time of year keeping fish alive is tough. The hot heat basically just turns the livewell into and oven. I suggest constantly running the aerator, and keeping some ice in your cooler to help lower the temps in the livewell....

Opinions on Pro Craft boats...
Didn't he just take over recently?? I'm looking for a used boat not a new one, around 00', 01', 02' etc... When did this guy take over??? At least 5 years ago. A bud of mine ran into a guy with a 22' PC / 225 and it would only do 55 at WOT. He was really pizzed because my friends little 15' would run as fast. Thanks for the heads up... That's good to know.....

Opinions on Pro Craft boats...
I've been looking at a bunch of used boats anywhere from 00' or 01' and up... Trying to find one 20 to 21 foot. With a 200+hp motor. I really can't go above 18K, maybe 19K, but I can't hardly find a ranger or triton with in that price range.. That's what got me looking at ProCraft, Stratos, etc.... I'm still looking to find a deal on ranger or triton though. I've ridden, and fished out of both and reallly like the way they both perform... I'm just going to keep looking... Thanks for your opinions.....

Opinions on Pro Craft boats...
Well.... The title says it all. I want y'alls opinion on the ProCraft line of bass boats. Mainly the 200 and 210 Super Pro SC. I just can't fork over the money on a Ranger or Triton and I've found same year models for thousands cheaper. I like the way they look, and all the storage features they offer. I've also owned an OLD Procraft fish and ski boat that rode really well. Just give me some likes and dislikes on the Super Pro line. Like how does it ride, the fishability, etc....

Drop SHotting...
Usually fished on light line in deep structure. It basically consisits of a hook, 4-14" (approx) above a weight. Drop it into the brush shake it a little... Thats about as simple as I can put it. Someone else should be able to help you.

line twist?
Let your line out behind the boat, with no hook or swivel on the line. Once you get down to the spool, let the line sit back there for a minute ot two and let it iwist itself out... Then real it in.... Works good, as far as prevention.... I have no idea....

Swimming a worm?
It works well in small farm ponds, but not in big heavy pressured lakes, IMO. That shakey head rig will work reeling it in, but try it texas rigged with a bullet wieght, and curly tail worm.... ;D
